New Paypal Account - Dynamic IP or Static IP?

Opening new paypal account after old one suspended for no reason at all. I need to change IP so does anyone know which is better static ip or dynamic ip? I've heard that dynamic ip will raise red flags because ip changes often. The static ip seems better. Im also concerned because I'll log in through AT&T and it shows up as proxy server. I've heard that's also an issue and red flag. If anyone has any info, please respond to thread. Thanks

Dynamic all day long. It makes changing the IP a lot easier if you want to run several stealth accounts.

Nothing wrong with an IP changing on the same account over and over so long as cookies are in place on the laptop

How about the fact that the ISP is going through a proxy server? Is that a problem?

Welcome to the forums - PP has been to keep lists of known proxy IP and flag accounts based on them

Creating accounts you have to go with Dynamic. Maintaining EVIL Paypal, you have to establish a Static for the life of the account. PAYPAL HATES constantly changing IPs.

Dynamic for sure, then dont have to worry about ip not being able to change

Thanks everyone for great info. I didn't create account yet so trying to make sure I understand everything first. Dynamic ip is preferred for multiple accounts but if I just want one account, static should be fine. Is that correct? Also, I was planning to use att and when I type in ip under what's my ip, it shows up as confirmed proxy server. Right now it's dynamic but I've called to have it changed to static. Is that a problem that it shows as confirmed proxy?

Proxy server can cause issues - PP is known to have blocks/flags on Proxy IPs that may have been overused...

shrug I operate my accounts with different IPs all the time and keep cookies in place - no problems but I use the eB more often than PP

A&T is known to paypal.

There's rarely a problem.

So long as that paypal account has its user account and cookies, you can be A-OK with a Dynamic IP.

Ignore suggestions that static is needed.

Dynamic FTW@@@@@!!!!!

Never seen any evidence to support that

Make sure cookies are in place and PayPal are happy

The thing you have to understand with Paypal is that it tracks "usual activities". If it sees you have been logging in on a Static IP for a long period of time, then suddenly you switch to a totally different IP, it will flag their system and ask for documents. I guess you could say also that if you have Dynamic IP from the start and you have been using it to log in everytime, we could conclude that Paypal is used to that IP change.

Re: New Paypal Account - Dynamic IP or Static IP?

Hi guys. I've tried to open a new paypal account and have run into some issues. First off, I was banned from eBay and paypal last month for no reason. I had 100% feedback, real name, social, paid taxes, everything. I got no explanation. Anyway, I got an EIN number and I registered as a dba company. I signed up to paypal business account as a sole proprietor and entered company name address etc. then the next screen it asked for the last 4 of my social, birthdate, and address. At that point I logged out. Does anyone please have any info on what I should do. I'm concerned if I input my real last 4 of social and birthdate I'll be linked to my banned accounts.

Hi I never recommend adding the EIN right away, account could go down in a week and then that would be a waste, in my opinion its best to wait till they require or atleast when your getting close to the maximums

Just tried registering yesterday and paypal already asked for last 4 of social and birthday. I didn't enter any info. I just ended up logging out and now I don't know what to do.
