Change mac address but no internet
 

Not sure if you are the right person to ask, however ive been working on changing the ip from the stealth guide. And everytime i change my mac and do everything im supposed to, my internet light stays orange and cannot connect to the internet. However when i reset the mac back to its original light goes green and internet works. I have verizon fios, with a dynamic connection. Not sure what else to try. Im waiting on purchasing these accounts until i can get this up and going.

welcome to the forum - all the best with stealth and so and so... ah, forgot this one: :thumb:

Btw, if you have a dynamic connection means that you have an ISP with dynamic IP?
Did you check if your IP changes every time you switch your modem/router off and on again?
Go to Track Your IP Address - IPBurger.com and check your IP.
Switch your router off and on again
Repeat the first step and check if the IP is different....

You may not need to mess around with MAC address.

I'm having the same issuse as StarpodInc I'm using a DSL-2680 Router my setup shows:

WAN Connection :PVC0
Manual ADSL Connection Setup: PPPoE/PPPoA

I need to change the option from PPPoE/PPPoA to Dynamic IP Address to change the MAC Address.

When I try to change the Address and save my changes I get booted off the Internet until I switch back to PPPoE/PPPoA

When I get back on the Internet I check my MAC Address but it hasn't changed

However I did check my IP Address before and after and it did change it's just the MAC Address that stayed the same

In the advanced settings there's an option Wireless MAC Filter that says:

"You can allow or deny a list of MAC addresses associated with the wireless stations access to the ADSL Router"

It's set to deactivated, Do I need to set it to activated ? Being a noob and a totally clueless and don't want to screw thing up IYSWIM
