Cell Phone Hotspot
 

I was considering using my iPhone as a hotspot for my computer rather then messing with changing my router's IP constantly. Every time I restart my phone it gets assigned a new IP address. Any ideas if this is a good or bad idea?

It's not a bad idea, some ppl on here reported using this method.

Nothing wrong with that. Its still possible to get a repeated IP though so to be safe make sure you track your IP still :thumb:

Does it matter that the IP will always be different? I log between several accounts daily so this would mean each day the account would have a new IP.
Is this something that could cause issues?

As JamesNorth101 mentioned, Phone Hotspots work great, just make sure you log all your IP changes. Also, keep track of your Data usage....you don't want to go over your data usage.

Again IPs can be repeated so you do need to track them.

So long as you have cookies in place there is nothing wrong with using different IP on the same account each time. Just make sure you do not overlap IP addresses

No, having different IP's is not a huge deal....the most important thing is to have your cookies in place, cookies are more important. Log your IP's, cross-check your IPs to make sure your not repeating the same IP across multiple accounts. Just an FYI, you can repeat an IP if enough time has lapsed, I would say 5-6 months is a safe period.

Jailbreak your phone for unlimited hotspot. Without your provider knowing.
