How to change ip address!!!
 

Hi, All,
Today i bought stealth book,-but, i so confused.

I no idea how to change my ip address.-i'm not very good in computers.-and i don't have who can help me,-so, PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I'm in Ireland,-my internet provider UPC, - My computer connected by wireless to internet modem,-i have windows 8 on my computer,

Please anyone can help me by step by step guide?-

Go to ipburger.com - write down your IP address.

Turn your modem/router off at the wall.

Turn it back on

Visit ipburger.com and see if the numbers have changed.

You now have a new IP address :)

its better if you turn it of for 5 mins i turn mine of make a cup of tea and turn it back on it should change

No,it don't work,##Last time i leave it overnight,but ip address still the same,

It is possible that my ip address is static?

When i'm checking DHCP Enabled-it show me YES,--that mean i have static ip address?

I call UPC today,they said it should be dynamic ip address,-why it show DHCP-yes,-he don't know.

Maybe i can change Yes, to Now?,-But i don't know how?

Anyone had same problem as my?

Ok,i call to UPC today,-it is 100%my ip address is static not dynamic,-even customer support was surprised(?)

Definitely i will change my internet provider when my contract will over(any recommendations what provider to choose?)

Now , maybe i can use iphone tethering?-not sure how it works(but i will read book again),

I'm on vodafone network prepay, can i just choose data extra plan (which included 5GB data-it will be enough?)

Suggest you also read about dongle - it's a little usb key you attach to your computer and it can give dynamic IP if you have a provider for it.

iphone tethering will also work for dynamic IP

Find a good VPN provider with dynamic IPs for creating accounts.

ok, if i choose vodafone data plan(20eur/month)-can i tethering my iphone to laptop?-do it will cost extra for tethering?
what free program can do that?

Tethering will work.. it may cost extra depending on your service provider (confirm with them) but it does work.

try switching your router on your internet modem. That usually does the trick.

hotspot tethering is the best and ive nbever had a problem and if u log in toa diff acct of f the samne ip they cant suspend u just of f that unles u do it over and over never wanted to test tht though

You're going to want to change the last two digits in your mac address to different numbers. Log into your router, locate the mac address, change the last two digits and save, unplug modem and leave unplugged for about a minute, plug it back in. You should now have a new IP. I heard these expire though, can anyone provide a solution once your new ip address expires?
