New user, VERY confused about IP changing on multiple stealths
 

Hello.

I'm a new forum user and am in the process of setting up several new stealth accounts. I am trying to be very careful about handling the setup, and I've read through the IP section of the Stealth book several times and am still not clear on this issue:

On one hand, the manual says that eBay cannot link different accounts by IP alone, but then shortly thereafter it says something to the effect of, "if you use the same IP address on different accounts, you should consider those accounts linked."

The safest bet seems to be changing the IP address every time I switch between accounts, right? But if I constantly log in from different IP addresses (basically, never the same IP address), won't that also be a red flag to eBay?

Using always different IPs is not a problem or red flag.

It is Internet Service Provider dependent and it is perfectly normal for some connections.

You can easily keep log of the already used IPs with this excel sheet in this thread :thumb:

use a different ip address every time. I have been operating 3 stealth accounts. On 1 of them I have used around 90 different ip addresses in the past month. The easiest way IF you have an unlimited data plan on your cell phone is to tether your computer to your cell phone. Every time you restart your cell phone you get a new ip address.

Make sure not to overlap IP across accounts.

Do you mean to not use the same IP address for account A and account B? So I should reset IP before switching back and forth?

The idea is that any IP used on One Account...SHOULD NOT be used on Another Account, here's an example of how it should go:

Account A: 192.168.0.1
Account B: 192.167.0.2
Account A: 192.167.8.1
Account B: 192.165.9.1

As you can see the IP's are completely different.

Here is what you Don't Want:
Account A: 192.168.0.1
Account B: 192.168.0.1
Account A: 192.168.0.1
Account B: 192.168.0.1

Yeah as others have stated if your going the route of resetting modem or using hotspot then you should be noting in excel all ips and checking them each time to make sure none are reused

or

Get a static ip via VPN or VPS

If you are considering multiple accounts, you would also consider having different ISP providers to avoid linking accounts.

Your main issue is to avoid linking anything. Crossing over IPs creates links.

Yes different IP's really doesnt matter as some people use phones/tablets which change IP all the time. Just make sure you dont cross them.
