Only five IP's for Cable?
 

Hi, I have a choice of five Ip adds if I call comcast internet. It's for Dynamic and I think I have to pay for it. Does that mean I can only have safely five accounts or will that be enough for multiple accounts?( I only have one showing after unpluging for a while). I live 65 miles or so from NYC.

A dynamic with ONLY five IP Addressees..

That doesn't sound right...

Put a router in the mix and you will get a new IP. I keep about 5 routers and put one in the mix to change the IP. Most routers powered off for 24 hrs get a new one when turned back on.

Why don't these proxy services( the ones that claim to mask your IP add ) use routers like that? From the threads I've seen so far they suck for what we want to do.

Hercules, I am just wondering if you are getting an 'overload' about IPs? Do I understand
that you would like to know what is the best way to have multiple ebay accounts running?
You could have dial-up which works successfully. There are other options.

I wanted to have my Hi speed internet for my major activities on the net and then just have the AOL setup for multiple accounts on ebay all in one computer. Because my cable internet is static with just one IP add. Now if I can just get comcast to answer the phone to get a dynamic thingy I'd be in better shape. Thanks for your response.
