MAC address doesn't make IP's related?
Ok, so I understand that it's well known that the MAC address isn't seen.
I'm just trying to understand why it's alright to change digits of the MAC address in the router page and not have the IP's related, even though they will be new.
Sometimes I change the MAC completely, and notice that I get an IP that was generated from a different MAC previously used.
Most of the IP's look similar as well, even if they're new. Like the first few digits of the IP pop up almost always, but the digits in between or at the end change which make it "new"
Won't these similar digits in the beginning of the IP some how show that they are linked to one router or a location?
Just making sure, since I've already made about 18 or so accounts and have been jotting down all the ip's carefully in excel as suggested from a different thread and don't want to get linked.
Thanks for any input!
