I am trying to figure out why I get an IP address from a location other than my physical location? Will ebay be suspicious b/c I have an ip address that is different than the city on my ebay account? Or does it even matter?

i dont think it matters. I live in Bronx, NY yet my IP is from Stamford Connecticut

I guess its just as long as the distance isnt too far

If your ip is in stamford, can you make a pile of accounts all off that same ip address?

So when I get a new ip addy and I make an account, what about the neighbor of this location? They may have an ebay account shareing my ip addy. I guess I'm thick or just tired. This is all from useing aol dial-up that I'm coming from.

AOL dial-up gives a different IP each time it is used. That is why it(dial-up) is good. Might be slow but suits our purposes.;)

Not when I check it it does'nt. I dial up, check it, close it, dial the same #, check it , same #. Now when I dial another # I get a new one. But I'll take your word for it. Thats for the help.
