Can my IP be in another state?
 

So I got IP from 24vc. But the IP address I looked up is from Florida, and I am located in Illinois. I am going to use a UPS box street address for paypal/ebay..

is this going to be an issue with the IP being far away in a different state?

Yes, it can be in another state, my own isp has ip in Kansas, tx, and California, no problems for me whatsoever.

No problem as long as its an IP address in the US. Geolocation not important

Here is the really cool thing about IPs.

paypal/ebay understand that the company supplying internet access to their customer may send the service via different states.

So long as it is the same country, it is usually fine.
paypal/ebay look for the cookies etc associated with the account. That is critical.

As the others said, my WA State accounts have IPs in the Mid West. No problems.

I routinely use different state IP for my US accounts (diff provinces for my CA accounts) - just keep the cookies in place

Surprisingly it's not an issue... BUT, out of country or on a used and abused IP address and you'll have problems. IP is still important.. just not as much as it was a few years ago.
