Does anyone else have trouble with 24vc?
 

Hi I was just wondering whether anyone else has trouble with 24vc?My problem is it seems to work at random times and during other times I get the softether error 1 .

When I contacted 24vc they told me everything was fine on their end and they connected it to my computer doing it exactly how I do it but then a few laters it stopped working then a few hours later it worked again.Does this happen to anyone else and if so are there any fixes?

No issues for me.

I would 'think' there are some configuration issues on your network. i.e. are you using any other VPN provider/Tehtering Service/Internet service on that computer? They could be conflicting with one another in an attempt to connect.

I am only using my normal internet connection but I'm not 100% sure why that would be the issue because if it was the VPN would be unavailable to use 100% of the time as opposed to 60% of the time ? However what would be the fix for this wouldn't hurt giving it a shot and seeing if things are fixed

Could be so many technical issues...

Best thing to do would be establish if the device is causing the issue by using the VPN to connect to the internet on another computer/laptop.

Make sure that VPN and its login details are only stored on one device at a time. 24vc dont allow simultaneous connections.

I've tried it on 2 different laptops and a phone , still doesn't work .What specifically causes this error as this is the consistent error I see during down-time when it doesn't work.

"Connection to the server failed. Check network connection and make sure that address and port number of destination server are correct. "

are you using the 24vc downloaded controller to connect to VPN? In the past I have had issues. I uninstalled and reinstalled with success.

Try what yankee said and even though this sounds stupid - make sure your actual internet connection is live and working.

Just an update on what happened, I opened another ticket up with 24vc and they ended up giving me another VPN fresh server. Have had it for a day and no problems connecting so far regardless of what time in the day/night it is.
