cannot change ip address with airplane mode all of a sudden
 

alright folks i never had a problem with t mobile in terms of doing airplane mode and within a second go to hotspot and it will change ip address right away.

i noticed a few hours ago something odd happened. now when i put the phone in airplane mode it wont ever change the ip address anymore. i tried with two different phones with 2 different t mobile sim cards.........

strange?

Are you using 4G?

If so try swapping it to 3G mode and try

my phone doesnt have that option i dont see how that changes anything

tried with my 3rd phone, still no dice airplane mode/ip address change not working at all......i have my suspicions either t mobiles tower is down having problems or they deliberately did this on purpose because of suspion

If you think that then it would be a good idea to phone them and ask

If you go to youtube you will be ale to see a guide for how to turn the 4G off in your phone.

oh wow thanks james, it worked when i switched the network mode to wcdma/gsm now it changes ips again like normal and even better this solves my other problem its giving me real fresh ip addresses also which is strange must be routing me to a different cell tower.

i run over 1000 ebay/paypal accounts dont ask me why i have that many.....lol

WOW, over 1000 eBay/PayPal accounts running, that is truly mind boggling, you are in US of A but seriously, do you have enough hours left in the day to do anything else!

am assuming that the reason why i have even a bigger ip pool now is because their are more 4g cell towers around than 4g lte towers around???

i used to only get ips from 2 different states on 4g lte

now i am getting it from around 5-6 different states so far......on 4g
