eBay IP tracking...
 

So I'm on a college campus, and every time I connect to the internet, the last 3 digits in my IP address change...should this be enough to keep eBay from tracking me? (assuming I take all the other steps like clearing cookies, etc.)

Yes, that's fine.

Keep a log of your IP Addresses though, between accounts if you're working with multiple eBay / PayPal accounts.

how many accounts are you ruining because if only the last 3 digits change of your up address it you can only have 253 different ip addresses.

Does anyone need more than 253?

realistically keeping a log of your ips is mind numbing, could you seriously 1 year on look at a list of 200 ips and figure out each time
unworkable for me, just take the risk.

just a question though say for dynamic ip are my changing ips unique to me or do they also go to other users eg, can I have a changing list of ip but nobody else gets it. broadband ISP explained to me that its a queue system and a pool of ips available to all users in that area, so someone else potentially suspended might get your ip or viceversa. That is why IP CANNOT be the only factor in account closure, it could flag you if shared with suspended account BUT they would need more factors. flash and same products way more dangerous

Yeah, I have wireless mobile broadband on my computer and it changes my IP every time I dial up which is very often due to the poor quality of the service - slow, hangs up without warning. it sucks but the IP changes too just like dial-up. But the I'd rather have dial up because it's faster than the supposed broadband that I have.
