| | | nospampm | 01-30-2018 01:02 PM | [Q] Physical Address, IP Address, Phone, EIN, Name After 3 days and many hours spent in the book and website I don't see any clear answer on multiple accounts. Book doesn't go into much detail on the best multi-account solution. I'm planning 5 selling accounts and I'm within the US. If my guesses aren't the best/easiest/most effective method please correct me.
Physical address. Register with 5 random addresses. If selling on all 5 and expect a return at some point, 5 po boxes?
IP address. What's the best and most efficient method, mifi or 5 ipburger fresh vpn or? I read VPN is bad and a single IP is good. Keeping track of IP connections over mifi sounds like it could be a pain...
Phone. Register with real numbers on each. Later on I can switch them over to GV
EIN. 5???
Name. 5 variations of my name but make sure my last name is spelled right? |

Re: [Q] Physical Address, IP Address, Phone, Name 1. Just because the post is viewed 26 times doesn't mean that people are required to answer so pls be careful with this kind of statement - seems kind of demanding.
2. You can easily direct returns to 1 po box when you communicate with the buyer directly - not hard to do with bit of creativity.
3. Are you in the US? You don't need VPN...you can use cellphone tethering, dongle, regular dynamic IP....so many options
4. Don't use GV - overused.
5. Get your EINs when needed - and yes, would be smart to have separate ones for each PP request - if requested...
5. Don't need to have your last name spelled correctly - you can use smart variations or pure stealth names.... |
Re: [Q] Physical Address, IP Address, Phone, Name How dare you not respond any sooner rsot.......20 lashes. Next time, you respond quickly, informatively, and with a damn smile on your face. |

I've dealt with tons of buyer fraud in the past, ebay likes to view messages for cases and would frown upon requesting they be sent to an unknown address. You also lose a lot of eBay protection if you don't use the ebay issued return labels.
3. Thought I read somewhere that eb/pp like a constant IP address? Wouldn't mifi defeat that or the IP's are very close together so it doesn't matter?
4. Yes, thanks to the forum I learned gv is bad news. Also found a thread about freedom pop saying they're bs as well. I'll guess the best and cheapest number will be between tmo or trac?
5. Glad I was right on one.
5. Only one thread found on a google search. Guessing instead of Oliver Cromwell it would be something like Olive Crommwel?
Thank you for your insight. |
Re: [Q] Physical Address, IP Address, Phone, Name 2. You could consider e-mail the return label to the address you get on your paypal account - payment shows buyer address...you have to think outside the box on this one. Or you could get separate po boxes for each... Don't forget you have pp protection...
3. The COOKIES should be constant - IP can vary but you don't overlap IP across accounts.
4. Tracfone still works
5. You're getting the understand of name variation.... |
| nospampm | 01-31-2018 02:47 AM | Re: [Q] Physical Address, IP Address, Phone, Name And then there was 2.
2. In life there's very little I know in general but one thing I do know is the eBay return process as a seller. Best policy is to issue the easy print label through eBay. Less than a month ago I lost a $2395 item due to uploading my own label. Paypal protection for eBay sellers??? I haven't heard of this one.
3. What's the most carefree and never having to think of way if I don't want to check my IP every time I log on. IP burger dedicated? I don't know if this idea is idiotic, have a comcast modem/router with couple wireless routers hardwired which each would have their own wireless network and give off their own IP when connected?
5.5 I'd imagine at some point they will request my ID. Safe to have a white smudge mark leaving out one letter on my ID sending in? Ever hear of them using a full ID sent in to link old accounts and ultimately closing them? |
Re: [Q] Physical Address, IP Address, Phone, Name 2. There is PP protection but I have never had to use the function so I guess that's your choice - might as well have a po box and use it for the address on eb account (I use po boxes in that way).
3. Shrug - dynamic IP - I just use that and track IP to avoid overlap. I NEVER approach my business in carefree manner...
5.5 Many posts about creative thinking for ID...you cannot reuse old ID and leave stuff out hoping PP will glance over it.
And yes - ppl have provided full ID and invoices and PP still denies account reinstatement |
