About to launch 2nd and 3rd stealths...
 

Hi all!

Situation: I have currently been running 1 stealth eBay & PP for roughly 90ish days and all is well. Using a dedicated fresh IP from a reputable big seller on the forum. All is going good, and I have my bearings on running stealth smoothly. Now ready to launch my 2nd and 3rd stealths. However in a recent call in to PP, they could see that I was using a VPN and said that this was against their terms of service. They said they would let me slide this time but that I needed to stop using a VPN. I have since stopped and have been using my phone's Hotspot.

Question: What method(s) do you all recommend in terms of IP for this type of situation? I'm assuming I could not simply use my same phone's Hotspot for these other 2 stealths...or could I? It does seem to change IP each time I connect.

Or any other suggestions? Proxies, still use a VPN, etc?

Ok so Based on what I have read on the forums and my own personal experience, continue to use a VPN to operate your account. Paypal is only able to detect you're on a VPN is when you are on the phone with them and using it at the same time. So for future reference, when calling GAYPAL DONOT sign into your VPN because they can detect if you are on a VPN. Just know the information/question you need.

Right but if you are not signed into your account while on a VPN , as in not signed in it all, then the representative can't detect it at that particular time.

Thanks @TheRealist . Interesting - at the time of the call, yes I actually was on their site using my VPN. So in theory, what you're saying could be true. However, after I got off the phone with I did a bit of research, and like @yankee says, it seems as if (possibly) anyone can detect if you are using a VPN.

So I'm still confused lol.

@yankee if that is the case, what method do you recommend? You can PM if needed

I no longer use VPNs but you can simply say you are in an office building and use the VPN for security.

Hospital, government building etc....Social work, all use VPNs by law.
