Too many accounts => Red flag?

How many accounts can I have before it starts to look suspicious? If they are all stealth accounts, then eBay would think they are 1 account that belongs to several different people, so I should be able to have an unlimited amount as long as they don't get crossed. Is that correct?

lakeman 09-20-2009 10:46 PM

Yes you should be able to have unlimited accounts, as long as you are using separate user accounts and change your ip each time.

aking 10-07-2009 01:13 PM

yup, as many stealth accounts as you can keep organized.

How does one continuously change their ip? Isn't this exhausting. I'm no pc genius..just curious. thanks

jbluntz 11-28-2009 03:59 PM

If you use a smartphone as dial-up the ip changes every time you sign in.

hoont79 11-29-2009 07:24 PM

so once an account is created on an ip, does it always need to be logged into from that IP, or do they only look for seperate creation IP's? I ask because I can change my ip, but i don't get a choice in the IP i pull up, so i can create on a clean IP, but when i log in the next time it will prob be a diff IP

jbluntz 11-29-2009 07:31 PM

As long as you keep each account on a seperate windows user you shouldn't need to worry about the ip changing each time.

hoont79 11-29-2009 07:49 PM

so creating each account on a seperate ip and user agent, and then when i use the account, the ip wont matter, just be sure to use that user? Thanks for the info....

jbluntz 11-29-2009 07:57 PM

The ip still matters it just doesn't matter that it changes each time, you still need to make sure the ip doesn't match another account. You use a different user so you don't get linked by cookies, flash objects and web browsing.

I get what your saying, and appreciate the feedback, and maybe you are answering what I am actually asking, but lemme try again haha I am talking on my dynamic cable IP, so I could change it, create new accounts on IP A, then create accounts on IP B, then IP C and so on, but then when I go back to use those accounts, there a chance I will pull an ip that one of those accounts was created on, since the IP pool is not unlimited, plus they more than likely are going to be in the same IP range as well.....I apologize its a lil confusing, but any further insight would be great. Thanks.

jbluntz 11-29-2009 10:06 PM

Sounds like you got it, you create each acc. with a different ip and when you go back to ip A and notice the ip is same as ip B then you would change the ip until you get one that doesnt match your other acc's. I'm not sure about your ip range, I use mobile broadband so you'd have to ask someone else about that.
