How to migrate Firefox to new VM?
 

Hello guys,

I have a VM (that lives on ESXi) which I used to manage one of my stealth PayPal accounts.
I used Firefox for this (not the portable version) together with a proxy.

I will have to move to another server in a week, so I have to ask:
How can I move the cache & cookies (and all other necessary files) of the installed Firefox, into another PC?
I will run a different kind of virtual machine on the new server, so I can't just move the ESXi virtual disk to another server...

Just export the browser cookies/history using the cookiemanager add-on, and import it to the new system you will be using.
Or if you are using a firefox profile, you can use http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ to backup your current Firefox profile (if needed) from installed Firefox on your C drive and transfer it to your Portable Firefox, or to a new firefox browser may it be in a server or new pc.

Used this approach some years ago and worked very well. Result is fully working Firefox portable with all your settings, bookmarks etc. from your old installation.
