I found this information: How to Set up Multiple IP Addresses on a Computer. What do you guys think? Regards.

I'm not positive that I know what you want to achieve, but I suspect you have stealth in mind.

The method described is not useful in that way. Basically, using 2 NICs allows multi-wan (not covered in that link and still not useful for stealth in any additional way). Or allows one card to be for internet and another card to be for internal use only (no big deal here).

Or you can in fact assign multiple IPs to one NIC. But only the primary IP would show for WAN. All other addresses are aliases, basically (not useful and only invites PC conflicts).

The only way I would suggest getting mulitple IP addresses is to use your ISP for one IP address and tether your cell phone internet service if you have that capability. Thats what I do.

What is your bottom line? If it is as mentioned in posts 2 & 3, then why do anything a hard way?

If you want to have multiple accounts, then go the least difficult way. Let us now what you plan & we can help you :peace:

I was using my dongle today. Each time I logged out, waited a few minutes, and then logged back in I got a different IP address.

My new netbook has bluetooth and is wireless enabled and I found today that there are at least 3 near neighbours with a network I can log into and use for net surfing. Obviously each of them will have a different IP address.

You guys, I heard that eBay tracks ALSO by the MAC of the router. This is creeeeeepy.

I'm new here and have no idea if you all know this already but, if you use the Cricket Wireless high speed portable modem, every time you disconnect and reconnect it, you get a new IP address. Only by one number but that's usually enough I hear. It's not the fastest in the world but, the ease of changing IP addresses makes it worth waiting sometimes!

Also, I think I've been duped by a former (now banned) member of this forum. He sold me a "Short List" for eBay and PayPal account creation for $60. He also claims to be an attorney. I can't wait to get eBay Stealth so I can compare the info. I'm betting it's similar if not verbatim. I wish I'd found this forum first! :rant:

No, only IP address. Unless you're under fraud investigation of some kind, they only do the IP address.

I have imac and I have linkys router so how do I different ip address just switch off and on the router? and do it do it everytime I log into the ebay accounts for each account I use or they all have to keep being different ip address? I am confused pls help I am new to ebay but have great stuff to sell. I only sell authentic items but they keep ****ing with me and putting limits each week. I have different accounts one 5 year old that i need to sell with 150 feedbacks and 4 other accounts one is 1 year old the other is 2 year old but I used it to sell just bull**** stuff now I am selling real stuff but now they are ****ing with me they never did before.
I also got email to send in my driver license you dont think they know? if so will i get in trouble for this all?

Hi, i can change my public ip adress (the one that shows in ipchicken.com), but can not the ip adress from the modem. When i change it i have not internet access. So what can i do? I was thinking about dial up but no even have home phone. Any other solution? Thanks

Hi i have now tethered my laptop to my samsung mobile.I now get 50+ different ip every day on dial-up.Can i use this for mulitible ebay stealth accounts ?

I don't see why not, as long the ip is different each time.
