Separate accounts on Mac OS and windows on Mac

For example, If I have 3 user accounts on Mac OS, and 3 user accounts on windows, both on the same mac computer. Will that work? I keep each eBay login separate to their respective user account on Mac OS and windows. Or does that only apply to a PC?
