Shipping on multiple accounts

Before posting, tried to search for anything related to shipping could not find it soooo here I go!

I have 4 stealth accounts, just want to know how do you guys ship?
I ship fairly small packages and lightweight so I know USPS is my way to go. (13oz and less)

I heard of Stamps.com, but does that cause linking and can it be used for multiple eBay accounts?

Those are the only questions for now :P

jbluntz 09-23-2011 01:18 AM

You ship the same as I do, hardly ever ship anything over 13 oz. I use multi-order shipping in paypal on all my accounts and no it's never linked me.

If you need a real return address you can make another label yourself and paste it over the return address of the paypal label (upper left hand corner of the label).

jbluntz you are amazing. Selling me those accounts AND helping me out with this?! You're perfect! xD Thanks man I really appreciate it ;)

I ship on multiple accounts and never an issue other then when I dump the boxes at the clerks desk or in the hopper.

I have been asked a few times by the clerks at the PO why I am shipping so many boxes with different names.

Has to think quick and told them I am an ebay trading assistant and sell for many people as most older people do not want to list their items on ebay so I do it for them for a fee.

But I mean my accounts are from Seattle, Arizona, and such states haha, I am in California.

One more question, how big is the label that you paste over the shipping label? (your address)
and this doesn't cause suspicion to USPS?

jbluntz 09-23-2011 07:13 PM

Mine are about 1 inch long by half an inch wide, wouldn't know if it causes suspicion I never see them always throw all my packages down the mail shoot. I usually only do that on an occasional package that's too big to go down the shoot so I have it picked up. Everything else goes down the shoot with addresses from all over the US.

I have a stupid question, what is a mail shoot?

jbluntz 09-23-2011 07:51 PM

Lol any usps mailbox or door on the wall that opens up in an angle at any post office that you put mail through lol.

I see, yeah I googled it and had no resort, xD I usually take them at the back of the USPS location though, they told me I have too much shipment to just let it sit at the front. My boxes are 8x8x4 and so I have to place it in a basket at the back lol

That is why I asked. I found return labels at amazon, 0.5 x 1.75 Inches, you think thats good?

jbluntz 09-23-2011 09:48 PM

I don't know how big your labels are but any size will work you don't need to cover the address you can just get marker and write your return address on the package or just leave it like it is like I do most of the time and just email the customer your address, just do whatevers easiest, it's not that big a deal.

Just a quick question. Can I use this multi order shipping option with UK paypal. I am also spending a lot of time printing off single address labels from paypal. Surely there is a quicker way to do this? Is this function only available with US paypal?

AyeDGAF 09-24-2011 07:29 PM

this is what i do to all my accounts when i ship. i use CutePDF (its a program that when you print it saves to a PDF file) than i open Acrobat Pro edit the "From" part to my real shipping info.

But doesn't that still take ages to do this for each shipping label. Isn't there some program that will just import all the printing labels so you can multi print in one go?

only takes me less then 2 mins to do all my orders something longer if i have huge orders, all i do is merge all the PDF files into one file and copy paste.

Sounds like you have got it sorted. Could you please give me some pointers to exactly how you do this? Please Pm if you wish. I have currently spent all morning just printing off all my paypal shipping labels!! I would be grateful if you had any tips on how you do this. Thanks.

MakerViet 09-25-2011 01:20 PM

How about if want to use Forward Address???

jayne.w1 09-25-2011 03:26 PM

AyeDGAF - could you let me know in more detail how you do this. I would be grateful to receive some more tips. Do you import addresses from Paypal into a PDF file?

If you are ever asked by a postal clerk just tell them you are on vacation in California and need to ship these items.

Do not ship them together at one time. Have you better half take the Arizona in and you take the Seattle ones in.

Most larger POs have a drop shoot as Bluntz said or a cart sitting for pre paid items which is very easy.

i use stamps.com and then in the return address i only type in the ebay username that sold that particular item. usps hasnt denied any packages yet

Easy fix.

Put the right date of shipment and buy a decent scales and your problems are solved.

Once you get a reputation for being off on your weight they will look at every single package.

Do you have another PO close by or can you do a pickup at your house?

spicnspan 12-23-2011 06:10 PM

with stamps.com account you can put whatever return address you want, you can put your real or change from stealth to stealth

Iwuvcurrency 12-27-2011 07:37 PM

Thanks spicspan might have to start using that.. need to invest in a scale so I can make sure my weight is correct.

spicnspan 12-28-2011 12:52 PM

The scale i got is a weigh max, i believe that is the brand name, anyway i got it on ebay, never had a problem with weights on it. I believe it is accurate to 1/10 of an ounce and i always round up to the nearest ounce that way there wont be postage due for the customer and it will be shipped out too. I think it was like $15 or so not too much
