Remote Desktop Recommendations
 

Last posts in threads with this q are from '09 and suggest Radmin. I had no success with that. :boink:

I am using Logmein right now but boy oh boy is it slow - it is like being back in the 90's using dial up. :sleepy:

I am trying to connect to the UK :uk: so I know it's a bit of a long distance but this seems just unrealistically slow. :ranger:

Does anyone have any experience using any software, I would love some recommendations if possible please. :help:

I am using Win 7 Ultimate 64 here but only Win 7 Home in the UK. I have tried using the in built remote access function but with disappointing results. :boom:

use Teamviewer it is free and works amazingly well.

The faster way to rdp is to use your own pc built it rdp technology. trust me its faster than team viewer in my experience.

Just go to start>run>type mstsc> hit enter>then enter ur vps details and ur in.

To make it a bit faster, you can search google for a tutorial - using your own pc is faster and safer in my opinion.

RDP is the best for Windows

Microsoft seems to have waylaid any hope of using RDP - I quote from their info

"You can't use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to a computer using Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 Home Basic, or Windows 7 Home Premium."


Dammit - anyone ever upgrgraded an OS remotely!? :)

If you have a product key of a eligible product, you can just enter it in Windows Anytime Upgrade and it will do the work for you.

Which product would be eligible?
