Why don't you try to solve the Outlook problem instead?
Your problem now is that Outlook crashes right?
Try using another program?
Or reinstall Outlook?
Also do some computer maintenance - its good for your computer's health.
Things like virus scanning, cleanup, defragmentation.

I've never heard of too many emails crashing an email program actually; the problem may be somewhere else.
If having many emails would crash a mail client, I definitely would not use it!
The first time I opened my mail client, it had over 10,000 mails coming in all at once and it was completely fine.

Try thunderbird. I use thunderbird portable, works fine for multiple email

you can have one for the registered. and one just to receive emails. check options.
