Same phone number 2 separate eBay accounts
 

I have 2 eBay accounts. On the new eBay account all the registered information I entered is different except for the phone number. I used the same phone number I have registered on the other eBay account of mine...

I have never had any suspensions and I am even a top rated powerseller for over 5 years.

The new account is also completely clean and has no issues with it.

I am planning on changing the phone number on the new account to anew one tomorrow and only then will I start using it to sell.

I wanted to know if eBay will now link the accounts or do you think it will be OK?

I should think they might already be linked - landline or mobile?

So what doyou guys think? Can I just move on or do they now have them linked? If they ask questions I can say that the number is my product suppliers phone number for. Ustomer service questions. Do think it will be ok or did I mess up the new ebay and paypal account?

If you used the number on both accounts to turn them into seller accounts on Ebay or used it to do verification on both Paypals, then they are linked.

If you have just put the number on there but not actually done anything then just change it over on one of the accounts. There will be no repercussions.

People can make mistakes entering a phone number, can't they?

I reuse phone numbers for verification all the time... it has never been a problem.

Maybe so, but you sell on accounts for a very short period of time and then ditch them.

Having the same phone number on two seperate ebay / paypal accounts is not a great idea if you plan on operating both for any length of time.
