| | | dibley69 | 09-18-2012 12:16 PM | How many users per laptop? Just a quick question, is there a limit to the amount of users I can have on my laptop, I.e how many accounts can I run without trouble of linking?
I am currently running two accounts on the same laptop with no problems over the past 4 months.
Thanks |
| Imakemoney | 09-18-2012 12:18 PM | I have 22 :pop2: |
| baloch | 09-18-2012 12:33 PM | you can put as many as you like but make sure it does not slow down the computer too much or one listing will take 10 mins rather than 5. |
| slim jim | 09-18-2012 03:40 PM | no there is no limit, just make sure you always have available hard disk space or your computer will slow down. it never hurts to upgrade your ram if possible |
| dibley69 | 09-24-2012 06:12 AM | thanks guys sorry not answered sooner been travelling |

| fluXr | 09-24-2012 10:52 AM | I have only 5 accounts, and 1 of it gets limited :( :( |
| crafty1 | 09-24-2012 12:40 PM | Its not the user accounts that eats up the space, its very minimal, its the programs that you run and files that you have stored.
Remember to delete unwanted attachments from your e-mail accounts if you have a number of Eb running |
| Airmick | 09-25-2012 10:28 AM | Should you use google chrome stealth eveytime you log in with more then one account on a laptop??? |
| Shadowmoe7 | 10-31-2012 12:56 PM | i have 100.. |
| BigCJ | 10-31-2012 07:12 PM | I have over 100 paypal accounts.
Using around 10-15 at a time now.
Here is a tip. Usually, after I make one that will be an ager/sleeper, I verify it, confirm whatever needs to be confirmed and then I delete the account user. I dont keep the files because I have yet the need to establish history/cookies so it just eats up space.
If you have win 7, go computer/users and delete the accounts that are NOT in use. Saves space on your computer and lets an account age without you having to hawk it. Just log into the gmail account to see what its doing.
When youre ready to use it, just recreate the user name and proceed as normal :p |
All kinds of computers can handle many user accounts. At the price these days, you can get a few and put a ton of accounts on each.
Does not mean you wont get linked UNLESS you operate well - what you sell is important |
| Lheonard | 11-01-2012 02:10 PM | A good technique is to have all your stealth accounts on a VMware virtual machine, I have 50 accounts on it and it works perfectly. |

| varld | 11-23-2012 11:54 PM | As far as i know, when you set up multiple user accounts, it is its own unique account even if your using the same ip address.
i have a few limited accounts on the same laptop and several non limited account also on the same laptop. |
| xenix | 12-21-2012 10:12 AM | There is no limit but its hard to maintain if you have few dozens of account in one windows installation. |
| Sandy D | 12-30-2012 02:01 AM | I had to buy 3 12 ft office tables to use as desk to line up my laptops in a row.
Even have 3 towers. LOL yes this non techie person still has a few old towers hanging around and work great. My old Dell tower is smooth as silk!
I believe I have as many as 40 on several of them. Can be slower but works for me.
I use the newer ones when making new accounts so I can go quicker and the laptops with 40 are used to list, print etc and nothing else.
I use external hard drives for pictures and other things and it helps on memory a lot.
My office looks like one of those commercials with all the office pods. The Subway commercial comes to mind. |
| unkown5454 | 12-30-2012 02:06 AM | Just set up a little media hub for those photos Sandy. Then connect it to the network so every computer can pull the photos from one place. |
@Sandy_D, you have several different IP sources? Or just switching between all of your accounts? |

Excel spreadsheet saves me a ton of time by sorting the No's. |

You know I am not techie at all but did buy an external hard drive with folders for each account and use usb to grab pictures.
Will look into your way to maybe make it easier and quicker. |
| Sandy D | 01-01-2013 03:44 PM | Pretty darn close MM.
My daughter tells me my office room looks like the computer room at school.
Then ask, why do you need all those computers?
Answer--- you are the only 7th grader carrying and Samsung Galaxy III around, that is all you need to know, has a netbook, PS3, Nook, HP touchscreen widescreen computer, X Box, Kindle, Ipod touch, ipod nano, newest version of photoshop with a drawing tablet to draw all kinds of things that show up on the screen (:smash:) and 4 million pairs of shoes and 2 closets full of name brand clothing :d
End of story. |
| astralman | 01-03-2013 11:04 PM | Some people like me dont have a computer room, but any room is ok to use as long as income and your comfortable working. I dont have more then 1 computer and I have many user profiles. As long as you dont have too many programs like over 100 which will disconfigure so many things probably. Just my 2cents. |

End of story. | Need to add.
And a nice little savings account she built herself by going to auctions, yard sales, thrift stores and buying the typical kids stuff lile DS Lites for 10.00 and sells on ebay for 100+, PS2/3 games, 30.00 Itunes unopened card at a yard sale for 5.00 ( of course her eyes went wide open ) a fossil mens watch for 10.00 etc.
If a 13 year old can do this then everyone else can. |

So, I know you're a pro at switching IP addresses.
That's the most time consuming process of my setup.
What method of IP switching do you use?
I can't imaging you're going into your router and changing your MAC. |

Being a non techie person I am old school.
Works well for me.
I need to robot to flip routers for me as I am in and out of 100s of account most days.
Never been linked either!!!

Re: How many users per laptop? Loads of user accounts really drives me loopy. Often I also websurfing on these accounts then bookmark something, then forget which user I bookmarked it on, or saved a file somewhere etc etc
You have to be super organised or it can drive you mad |

You have to be super organised or it can drive you mad | I copy and paste the URL into notepad and then place it into public docs etc so I can access it from any user account as I need it.
My problems are when I have so many computers lined up and need something from one of them.
Have been using a thumb drive lately and that works well b/c of this. |
| TurtleCove | 03-16-2013 03:56 PM | Sounds perfect for DropBox, Sandy.
Imagine each of your accounts, connected to Dropbox. You drop a file into one Dropbox folder, on one machine, and you can then access that file from ANY of your other machine/user accounts.
I still can't see how you change your IP address by changing your MAC address on your router. That takes at least 4 minutes, on my router.
And, to do that 100 times? Yikes!! |
| yotano211 | 03-16-2013 05:05 PM | You don't need to change the MAC address with ebay |
Re: How many users per laptop? Good idea, wish I was so organized. I think sometimes I enjoy torturing.myself in life |

I can do it in no time when I unplug and plug it back it, within seconds comes a new ip.
