| | | ovidiu | 05-24-2013 03:13 PM | New eBay account limits if linked to existing unlimited account? I have a unlimited powerseller account linked to a Paypal account. Both are stealth and the Paypal account has tax ID/LLC info added.
My question is, if I open a new eBay seller account, will it have selling limits, or can I link to my existing account and have the new one be unlimited too? Will I be able to add a new Paypal account with different LLC info to the new eBay account? |
| GreenBean | 05-24-2013 06:34 PM | Man, you are taking a big risk doing that.
Where sellers create a 2nd account to bypass selling limits, ebay has split the limits between the accounts.
ebay co uk has in fact suspended 2nd accounts
The user imjustme had a very bad experience with this.

| ovidiu | 05-24-2013 07:50 PM | hi greenbean, the current account is actually already unlimited selling. |
| GreenBean | 05-24-2013 08:08 PM | Yeah, but adding a 2nd account might be dangerous.
You run a risk of getting the limits changed...
ebay have reduced selling limits on 'good' accounts where a 2nd account has been added |
| jeffweico | 05-24-2013 08:15 PM | If you already have a good thing going with the current account, I say leave it alone and open another stealth. Why risk a good thing?
With payment processors - both PayPal and merchant accounts - once you exceed $5,000 per month in charges, that is when they start looking more closely at you. It won't matter if the charges are coming from one eBay account, or two accounts. |

| Thank you GreenBean, this is the sort of info I was looking for. Bottom line, too risky to do this. |
| Sandy D | 05-27-2013 10:56 PM | That account is too good to do this with it.
Not worth the risk.
I am one who will never un any circumstance attached two accounts or any kind or even use multiple paypals etc ever.
I value my long standing accounts too much to even allow eb or pp to get their grubby hands on more then one account at a time. |
I will confirm that what GB is saying is correct - you can have limits reduced...parlayed among both accounts...even restricted for risk suspicion...and finally ID verification hit.
I would not risk a good old account with a new one link just to hope for high limits with the new account |

A grave error there.

:smash: | All scenarios have happened to me during experimentation - limits reduced for a series of 4 eb in connection - limits spread on 2 eb in connection - suspension of 1st account when 2nd account with ties was created. |
| ovidiu | 06-12-2013 02:46 PM | I am getting the distinct impression that eBay is actually worse than Amazon now, in some regards. Wow. OK, I keep this account totally separate. Thanks for the warnings guys & gals.
My apologies for taking 10 days to reply, been in the process of moving (what a hassle!) |

I had no experience and "killed" my ebay for an existing limited pp account to it. In fact, this is the story: My eb selling account is just 3-month old, with very good feedback, high selling limit. First i have my pp linked to eb account. When my pp was decided to be permanently limited, I removed it and add another pp. Everything went okay until I contacted ebay customer support to request a higher selling limit (~$8000). ONLY THEN they reviewed my account and found out there WAS ONCE pp account being limited. They wont let me have any chance to explain. They said I can no longer use my ebay account now. I wish I HAD NOT contacted them to request anything, then my account might not be review and suspended now. :s |

Sad lesson to learn.
New ways for you now.
Good Luck

| Sandy D | 06-18-2013 01:55 AM | I dont call them period.
I told myself I need tons of accounts up and running and never have to worry about an account here and there.
That was a few years ago and doing fine without a call. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:16 PM. | |
