Do we have to make a purchase to get a stealth account going?
 

I have not put in any "personal" information yet on my stealth account, i.e., address etc. I plan on using option 2 in the stealth book. If I buy something, I got nowhere to ship it. I don't really want to buy anything. I just want to sell. Would that raise some red flags? Greenbean suggested to do some bidding and some other stuff before you sell. Did you buy anything? If I buy something, I kind of want to have it, and if I use option 2 in the stealth book, I won't receive it. LOL. Thanks.

If you want to receive it, then you should use an address that you have access to.
If you do not have an address that you have access to, then go and rent a private po box.

Wonders how a stealth account can be kept going if there is no access to the address of the account???

Agree that it is not good stealth to lack access to the address but it isnt crucial - all depends on 1) if you want what you purchase and 2) you are concerned about returns.

She might have stated this but I am sure if you have followed her post she also states over and over to have access to an address that works.

I bid on a ton of items I will never win and those items I do win get sent to addresses I have access to. Many threads talk about receiving items with stealth accounts.

But it was in the stealth book! LOL..

Things change, this is why the forum is alive...so you are aware of these changes.

If you plan to buy, make sure you have access to the address.

Certain ideas in the stealth book do get updated with discussion in this forum - makes sense to have an accessble address, right? Kind of logical

It's not a must to buy before you sell I have accounts that I never purchased anything on.

However the reason you would buy is to build more credibility with ebay and Paypal and make your account stronger.

If you don't buy just create your accounts slow , confirm your Paypal by adding a bank and do the 2 micro deposit so that it will take 2-3 days than add a prepaid CC

Once your Paypal is set open your ebay and don't link it and sell the first day if you are in a rush wait at least 3 days before turning it into a sellers account

And the first month it's good to list just one or 2 low risk items ( books work great for me) and than wait till month 2 and than sell to ur limit

I find that this technique also works in avoiding the MC999 initial call in and you don't need to buy.

This is just an example of how I created some accounts that now have big limits

But the more patient you are and by buying you build a more stable account

What is your experience before you trigger a mc999? How many low risk items do you sell before you get triggered in the first month, if you ever? How about the second month? How many medium to high "risk" items in the second month before it triggers something? That way I can avoid it. Thanks!

Stop this 'I can avoid it' belief.

You must retrain your mind set.

Learn to work the accounts in such a way that risks are few.

Because you have the wild card factor of a buyer, you may not be able to avoid issues.

You could still get those items shipped to your house, its not a problem. Just add your shipping address when checking out on ebay, you can even make a bs name if you want. I have done this multiple times, it works fine

i like to buy 25 penny auctions with a auction sniper. 12 will leave me feedback a day within of me paying. its nice "fodder" feedback and then you can list 1 day auctions. you still have to space out your seller auctions when youre starting out, but its easier for me to keep track of

I don't buy on accounts but haven't received a call in mc999 in maybe 5 months, u need to start slow, don't rush the account making do everything with patience and care.

The first 90 days are critical, I like to sell a book after my accounts are open for 2-3 weeks than I won't sell till the next month, the second month I sell my normal 10 items over a month time and the third I list 10 sell them early in month and lot of times get raises

But if u swing for the fences on the first day ur done

I just discovered that I got 500 dollar withdrawal limit on both my stealth paypal accounts. Other than that, in what ways could my account be done? I have the 10/1000 limit on each account. Is it possible that they lower the limit? Suspend the account? Not raise the limit after 90 days?

Just because it works for you does not make it RECOMMENDABLE - it is a link using old info. Be careful anyone who decides to go this route

Why risk getting zapped for feedback manipulation? Fodder feedback should be varied. Never have the same pattern of feedback nor spend the same amount of money on each purchase ( for feedback).

Auction sniper + penny auctions + patterns for buying = potential huge downfall.

Do random purchases of a variety of items and go from there.
