Default Help Setting Up Authorize.net

I am hoping somebody can kindly explain how to setup authorize.net.

I have had an ebay account for over a year now, selling has been going great, account is above standard. I always ship items right away, 100% feedback. Yaddee Yaddee yadah. My problem is mostly to do with Paypal, although the 21 day hold was lifted several months ago, they decided to put the limit back on my account but didn't provide a reason. I assume I put up a red flag somewhere probably increase in sales would be my guess and I just recently added an EIN. I don't sell electronics or high risk items so I don't know what the problem is but I'm so tired of them and their bs.

So anyways I've decided to give authorize.net a try and see if I can get rid of Paypal once and for all. I've created my account which was approved but I'm not really sure where to go from there.

I think I figured it all out. Sucks that it takes a few days for your payment to show up in your bank account though.

Authorize.net is the gateway to accept payments. You need a merchant account that will actually take the transaction and approve it that goes through Authorize.net.

I think they put you with a provider by default, but I forget who it is. That provider then needs to run your information and look at what you're selling to see if it is within their processing guidelines. If it is, they setup the account and you can start plugging in payments. Don't get your hopes up that you'll get a ton of credit card payments from Ebay though.. most people use Paypal to pay through there.
