what was the problem?

I asked for a wire transfer too and it was supposed to be in my canadian account today too and I have not received it.

just received email from CCNOW

I just received an email from CCNow for the wire transfer:

We apologize for the confusion. Generally, we allow a wire
transfer payment 4-5 business days to arrive to the respective
client's bank account. We ask that you allow a little more time
to receive payment.

Regards,

this is ridiculous!!!! It takes the same time to send a cheque. I am pretty upset at the moment.:argue:

Note posted on your other post.

pod 09-16-2010 06:23 PM

I really dont understand why these transfers take so long. PayPal takes 3 business days, these guys 5, etc

ccnow used to be almost a week if I recall

I have one setup and if I do a wire EFT before midnight, its in my bank the next morning. What do they do for 3 or 4 days? In this day and age why isn't this all done almost instantly? Well, a business day. Is it all handled manually or something?

luna 09-16-2010 08:00 PM

good question

I did sent them emails today about that. I got an email from my bank which said this

Wire delivery times if processed before 4:30 p.m. (EST) will arrive the same business day, if after 4:30 p.m. (EST) the next business day, providing there are no problems with processing the wire.

so I don't know why it is such a wait with CCNow. I got last month a wire from the UK and I had it the same day.
HUH?:juggle:

pod 09-16-2010 08:03 PM

See, that's what I thought. Bank does it same day or next. That means all the delay is on the other end.

luna 09-16-2010 08:14 PM

How?

what happened?

I got an email from CCNow stating this

I will speak with our accounting department and do what we can
to get the payment to you asap.

and at the same time another email stating this:

We ask that you allow 4-5 business days, so until September 23rd
for the wire transfer to arrive.

Regards,

I've never had a payment not make it from ccnow. But it was never fast. You wont be able to do anything about that. Something that needs to be lived with.

The delays with these companies is deliberate I think. It cant be staff shortage or the deposits would always vary from 1 day to 6 days or whatever. But if its consistent then they do whatever they do on a schedule. So they sit on it for 3 or 4 days before they move it.

luna 09-17-2010 01:27 PM

Just got the payment

I just got the wire transfer by fighting the whole morning. I contacted digital river the owner of ccnow and this guy helped and now I have it

Hello, this is Daniel Blade at CCNow replying to your
earlier E-mail message.

I just had this email forwarded directly to me, you can reach me
at 952.253.1234 x33448

What seems to be the trouble? Please advise.

Thank you, and I will look forward to your reply.

Nice work - way to keep pushing. Hopefully will be much simpler from now on - good props to you.

romeo216 09-21-2010 03:13 PM

Are you guys using ccnow with ebay?

rsot 09-21-2010 03:36 PM

@romeo - when possible yes. But have to manually invoice and many customers still want the ease of simple checkout with paypal.

chknlollypop101 09-21-2010 10:49 PM

Canadian Banks are crooks!

Hi!

You think thats bad...wait till you see the amount that gets transferred...1st ccnow cuts the cost of wiretransfer....then when you look at the bank statement...CDN banks have there own charges of wire transfer...plus there US:CD exchange is disgusting...its brutal...

luna 09-22-2010 10:35 AM

that is true unfortunately

I use ccnow not linked into ebay but I blocked the ebay checkout and I do sent an invoice either direct from ccnow or via auctiva.
and yes you do pay the fees (but you do on paypal too paypal is not free either!!)
and yes if you get a cheque mailed to you it costs you 5.00. a wire transfer costs 15.00 and on the bank I think 15.00 too. I think it depends on how much you need the money and how much gets transferred.
I think it is still better then loosing all the money on a PP account at once!!!!!!:amen:
