 Possible tip to get customers to use your merch account instead of Paypal?
So, for accounts that must offer Paypal to buyers (such as those in the UK), I'm wondering if it would be possible to offer a discount to buyers who opt to pay via credit card rather than Paypal. Say a 5% discount, or free shipping or something, and state it in the auction. Then with something like Cartmanager or CCNOW, email them the invoice for the discounted amount (but do not allow Paypal of course). So if they insist on using Paypal and paying through ebay checkout, they miss out on the discount. Does this violate ebay's TOS? Or would it cut into profit margins too much? Offering free shipping would probably be easier and better than a discount, even. I'm just brainstorming here.
