| | | nicetrypaypal | 11-28-2010 02:28 PM | it does work.. paypal is owned by ebay thats the only reason they hold those funds..
if ebay pays a buyer back, they come back to your reimbursement method, thats it. ebays is not a cc company.. they cant make chargebacks on anything
Sellers must have a reimbursement method on file with eBay.
Sellers agree to allow us to remove funds from their PayPal accounts for amounts due to buyers. Sellers may change this reimbursement method by contacting eBay. However, we reserve the right to continue using the sellers' PayPal account for eBay Buyer Protection cases associated with eBay transactions paid for before the change. |
A nice help if a scammer buyer pops up I guess. But they have to do it via eBay. They still have MB to file a claim. But MB is really good with chargebacks if you have proof of delivery |

thanks | All of this is detailed in my first post...:boink: |
| HurricaneHuntr | 12-04-2010 10:53 PM | So you can link a MB account to a stealth ebay even if the names do not match? Like for instance.. I open a MB account for my powerseller account. Under my real name... But the EBAY is a stealth.... how does that work? |
| HurricaneHuntr | 12-04-2010 10:55 PM | oh reread #7, ebay makes you account verify if you use moneybookers right? |
| xsv182 | 12-09-2010 10:17 PM | So moneybookers doesnt/cant limit your account like paypal? and I when you said that you use moneybookers to bypass the PP requirement and use CCnow instead, how do you do that? just send the buyer an invoice at the end of the auction and tell them not to complete the transaction through moneybookers? |
ALL of them, including Moneybookers will shut you down if they feel a risk. Too many chargebacks or any problems and they will not risk their money. Its their money in play. And just like PayPal they get hammered with scams.
There is no gateway out there that has no chargebacks or account suspensions. Granted I think Moneybookers is better in many way to PayPal. But nothing is bulletproof |
| xsv182 | 12-09-2010 10:35 PM | ok thanks for the response. Do you prefer moneybookers or paymate if you had to pick? |
for ebay, neither. In my opinion trying to avoid PayPal with eBay is a waste of time
But if you must, i would go with ccnow. It also has PayPal built in, so an added bonus |

I am interesting this theard with your post. I saw you posted following idea:
"I use CCNow as my primary payment processor for all my accounts, I just put Moneybookers on eBay to bypass the PP requirement"
So as I understanding, you'll choose Moneybookers payment on your ebay account, then remove paypal payment. And then, if you sold one item, you'll go to your ccnow account and send an invoice to buyer ? It mean that you don't use marchant account on ebay ? And it mean that you receive money outside ebay with ccnow ?
Thanks you! |

Thanks you! | Yes, that's exactly right. |
| Red X | 02-22-2011 01:29 PM | Anything is better than PP IMO. If you are a patient person than Moneybookers is for you, consider it as a large 1 time paycheck per month. |
| smithgroup | 02-22-2011 01:40 PM | Also, I have yet to have any trouble with CCNow or Moneybookers to date.
PayPal would have long since limited me 20 times by now. |
| snoeliah | 04-04-2011 03:21 AM | 40 days? So was it exactly 40 days that they held your money? |
| SB2011 | 04-06-2011 01:48 PM | I don't think it exactly 40 days coz for me now it has been 43 days and they still nothing happen. I had called to customer service of MB but they said they will send an email confirm that the money will be transfer to bank account...but now still...so i sent one email to them and still not response..Also it's not only low feedback that they will hold your money but all of them that's not silver, gold and etc. seller. I have 100% feedback with more than 100 items sold on ebay...but if you are not Silver, Gold or Platinum seller...MB will hold your money 40days...AT LEAST...!!!! will keep you an update as soon as something coming up. |
| Road-Kill | 04-23-2011 01:10 AM | Never had a problem with Moneybookers or ProPay I've been using them over a year never had a problem with them. I also use ProPay and they are easy to work with too.
I don't have PP anymore and my sales never dropped off when I get rid of them. Good riddance to them. |

Do you always wait for 40 days in order to recieve your payment?
and can buyers who only have PP linked with CC pay you directly to your MB? |

Moneybookers isn't a stealth account. So everything is verified. I have enough feedback that they pay me 90% of what's owed me in 2 days after the cc is charged.
Here's the chart on the payout speed.... moneybookers.com
I don't take PP and most buyers don't have a problem with that.If you give good customer service and have a competitive price, they will buy without PP.You need a decent price and a decent FB record to get the best placement in the listings. So I make sure I build up FB. I don't have a bunch of micro accounts. |
| Apple on Head | 04-28-2011 01:56 AM | Hmmmmm ............ me with the daft questions again.
Scenario - I open a CCNow a/c and link it to my website. I open a Stealth ebay seller and paypal account, unverified of course apart from the VCC in order to sell. The money that I make selling on ebay is then used to buy something from my website - the money leaves the paypal a/c and goes to CCNow and I withdraw after 40 days or so - do I have this correct? If so, WOW, problem solved! |
Daft question but it is doable if you make sure ccn ow and pa yp al are not linked... |
| smithgroup | 04-28-2011 03:44 PM | Yeah, but you would lose like 8% of your money just from buying and selling from yourself.
5% CCNow
2 - 3% PayPal
