The nightmare with merchant accounts

Now here is my story about merchant accounts:

I sold one item over one of my accounts and invoiced over my merchant account. I receive an email that the buyer did not receive and invoice. I did send it again. Now what does the buyer do: he sends me from his paypal account money to an email address which is the one I am using for my merchant account and he must have seen this there. can you guys believe it? instead of paying over the merchant account they send money!!!
now I sent another invoice to another buyer on another account over the merchant account and what happens? he paid via PP and of course it is held (which I wanted to avoid).
I am making clear in my invoices and emails that it is better to pay via my merchant account as I can insure the item and ship for a better rate. do they care??????????? no it has to be PP in any way, even though sending money to a whatever email address is very risky! but this payment was not on hold, the next one for 8.00 was. ARRRGGGH
thanks for letting me vent out!

Sorry the hear that Luna. I know that feeling - I even kept a paypal on that e-mail open and unverified because that was happening. Sadly, too many payments still going into that account. I know a withdrawal will equal limitation so it's dead money for now =(

As much as it sucks, we cant get away from using PayPal if on eBay. They simply have to be used together. I have, as I'm sure many have, spent a million hours trying to work out a way to keep PayPal out of the loop. Nothing works. eBay buyers are going to want PayPal and that's that. And not a lot of them, almost all

As you have seen first hand its next to impossible to get them around it. I was tempted to give CCNow a hard try because at least it has a PayPal option. Figure that would keep the brainwashed happy... But rsot and many others have pointed out, it still wont fly.

Trying to get around PP will lead to more frustrations then using them. Believe it or not....
