Moneybooks and Propay

Which one in your opinion is better for using on eBay?

Chris Hanson 02-01-2008 12:57 AM

Propay all the way

lolpie 02-01-2008 01:20 AM

Does it integrate with eBay? What do I need to do...?

Thanks for answering quickly btw!

Chris Hanson 02-01-2008 01:23 AM

The only drawback is you have to send invoices

aspkin 02-01-2008 01:25 AM

ProPay looks like a good option.

lolpie 02-01-2008 01:31 AM

Alright thanks, right now I'm signing up for Propay. Do I NEED to give Merchant Info when I sign up? I don't run a business :(

ramz858 10-21-2008 08:53 PM

Propay= NO pay

I've used Propay as my card processor for 2 years now, and can honestly say I have never once had a good experience with any issue that has occured. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt when when they froze my funds, charged me extra fees, deactivated my debit card, charged my checking acct without notice, etc, but finally threw in the towel and switched.

It's not worth using them, especially if you're trying to do any kind of volume.

They have NO chargeback support, their hidden fees really add up, their rates are terrible, their resolutions dept will freeze your funds on a whim, they give you low per transaction and monthly limits, etc etc etc.

Calling customer service will only let you talk to the front phone person, not the "resolutions dept" or "limits dept", who are always mysteriously in "meetings".

Please check around the web for the many unsatisfied propay customers.

Friends it is ok that regarding investmnets or money we should read books. But we must invest our hard earned money with our own knowledge.

newguy121 10-27-2008 11:19 AM

I would say moneybookers. They are eBay approved and they SEEM legit. Ive used them for high value transaction over 4k each and they made me only send in docs after I failed to confirm my pin(I was away for a bit and missed the letter).

There are some threads on here regarding this, but the better of the two is moneybookers.

As I know about the moneybookers, after the buyer receives your invoice, they have to register a moneybooker account in order to complete the transaction. Is there any other way that can accept the buyer directly pays with their own credit card without registering the MB account?

RobFagles 07-21-2009 09:48 PM

Does anyone know the answer to the question?

SECondplaygames 08-29-2009 10:35 PM

do both propay and money brokers share your info with EBay/ Paypal??

superking 08-30-2009 08:34 PM

You need to provide social# for moneybookers account and only one account per person per eBay account. So if your ebay account A is killed, don't think about using the same moneybookers account because moneybookers' system will not permit that. Also Propay is only goof for powersellers as of now...

Joer 09-01-2009 01:37 PM

Just checked with moneybookers today and they won't say which or how much info is shared with ebay (MEANING we share everything.). So I CAN'T use moneybookers on our stealth ebay account.

you can, it's not that big of a deal.

But only one person per moneybookers account(SS# required)

and only one moneybookers account per ebay account(once you link them, they are linked, you can not change your eBay account-even if suspended)

Does anyone know how to get your money faster from moneybookers.
It has taken me 15 days + 2 banking days for one ebay transaction.

Yea, be a powerseller or be with them for 3-5 months, you can request for less settlement.

tbach2k 10-27-2009 04:03 PM

So it takes a long time to get money from moneybooker's.
I was trying to find a merchant that paid out quickly since i was about to sell 25,000+ k in items and didnt want to worry about money being held by paypal.
Is my best bet just getting a regular merchant account?.
Will this work for a stealth ebay account ?.
Ie i use a merchant account with my real info to process on a stealth that doesnt?

IF you have a seller account- you can use propay, as long as you dont sell items they prohibit. As far as moneybookers you will get pay as long as you dont do the same. Don't give them trouble and they wont give u trouble. Simple

As long as you used real information, you should be fine. There is a 15 day hold for payments, you can request to shorten the hold if you have power seller status or been with them for more than 2-3 months and have good records.

I have transferred more than 10K(each transaction about $50) to my bank accounts from my moneybookers, but they did locked my accounts when I opened multiple account with stealth information, ... but as long as you're not doing anything "wrong" you should be ok and able to see money after 15 days.

surcerouche 11-12-2009 09:54 AM

I have been with moneybookers ever since I got my original booting from ebay/paypal. I call my stealth w/moneybookers account my bread and butter.
It is sloooooooooooow as molasses to get the money. Seriously, I sell the item, then I get the "what is moneybookers?" email from my customer. After I assure them that moneybookers is ebay approved, they make the payment, then I have to wait 14 business days for the money (at that time it is considered payment pending) then it disappears for two days and then poof appears in my bank account.
If you can go with a merchant account or paypal, I would definitely suggest it as that is what I do with the rest of my stealths, but if you want one that is slow, steady and so far untouchable make one Moneybookers.

warriorpluto 11-12-2009 06:27 PM

i have a problem with moneybookers. it didnt accept my social.(which is real and mine) what to do now?

bobby2000 11-13-2009 10:16 AM

at least your is only 2 weeks because your a powerseller, for me with only 35 feedback have to deal with the 100% rolling reserve for 40 days. 1 month and 10 days is seem to much, pretty much like CCNOW being a first time seller

jbluntz 11-14-2009 01:36 AM

I use moneybookers haven't had any issues yet and I'm selling vero but not using the original name in the listing just the original picture. You need to use your real info and you can link it to your stealth and if you get suspended you just renew your token by signing in to your new ebay account through moneybookers. There's a 40 day hold at first than after that payout is every 10 days unless your a titanium power seller it drops to 2 days. I'm doing about 1k a week for now don't want to raise any flags but so far it appears to be working and that's on a month old stealth account.

bobby2000 11-14-2009 10:09 AM

i will split my sales in paymate and money bookers. yes I will drop paypal finally.

I have a moneybookers account but I dont have a ebay account linked to it. As you said you can reuse the account on other stealth accounts. Wouldn't that suspend any new accounts you linked to it?

jbluntz 11-15-2009 11:23 PM

It could I haven't tried it yet, the main reason you link the account is to integrate the shopping cart and so they can see your feedback and listings. They could request your personal info from ebay but I don't know why they would care about that as long as your real info from your bank and moneybookers account match and you keep a high feedback ranking then I don't know why there would be a problem.

birti 11-16-2009 10:35 AM

Jbuntz,

Are you sure about being able to freely switch ebay accounts with Moneybookers. I talked with MoneyBookers and they said my account would link to only one account.

But then again, I could go back and ask MoneyBookers, to verify that again.

Birti

you are not allowed to switch accounts with moneybookers, accounts are permanently linked, hence 1 SS#= 1 account, you cant really have stealth information account

jbluntz 11-16-2009 03:01 PM

stealth ebay

So does that mean they will keep all my money when they find out I'm using a stealth ebay account and bringing in 1k a week for the last 2 weeks? I don't think a stealth ebay is much of a concern, its the stealth merchant and bank accounts the're more concerned about.

boondoggle 11-19-2009 09:46 AM

You can't use the same moneybookers account with 2 ebay accounts, but you are allowed more than one moneybookers account if you're running multiple ebay a/cs. Not sure if they would allow many, but I asked about 2 and they said yes, open a new moneybookers account for the 2nd ebay account and then contact them about using the same credit card/bank account for each.

jbluntz 11-19-2009 12:52 PM

The only problem is too many people have problems using their credit card to pay, the've got strict credit card policies or something. I think having multiple paypals is better...

surcerouche 11-19-2009 01:09 PM

Well thanks to advice on this board, I contacted Moneybookers about lessening the settlement time. Because no problems existed and I had been a member for 3 months my time went from 14 to 4 days. Yeah!

Im currently signed with both Paymate and Moneyboookers Gona see how it goes (Hows your expereince with them so far?)

dindio31 04-10-2010 11:33 PM

i'm using propay on my ebay account, the only problem is there are many foreign countries that don't appear and i was forced to cancel many transactions from those people, as for moneybookers is not pretty convincent

bigmac 04-16-2010 08:29 PM

anyone else have some reviews on moneybookers or propay? Is it better then paypal

bigmac 04-21-2010 09:20 PM

do they share the info on the account with ebay? Also does anyone know if paymate does the same?

bigmac 04-22-2010 04:52 AM

? .

pod 05-12-2010 01:57 PM

I would like to bump this...

Is there any advantage or disadvantages to linking a stealth ebay account to moneybookers?

Any info, other then email shared?

Do buyers ever even want moneybookers? Is it pointless to even offer it? If nobody uses it, then the point is mute.

I know you only get one shot at linking an ebay account, so if there is or is not any usefulness be nice to know

I know there are horror stories, but they can be found for anything.

If anyone here is actually using moneybookers it would be nice to hear input.

Thanks
