Setting up a merchant account
 

Hey,

I just created 2 new eBay accts, 1 has a paypal and on the 2nd one I would like to use a merchant as I will most likely end up using merchant accts in the futur.

I want to go with 2co.com, I must enter all real info on there, right?

And could someone just explain to me how it works ... How does it work for me as the seller, and how does it work for the buyer? The buyer I assume they simply get forwarded to some 2co.com checkout page and pay via paypal.

But on my side, how is it?

with merchant accs you put in all real info except for the company name, there you put in whatever you want your customers to see.

i dont know exactly how 2co works, you might have to manually send invoices to the buyers after auction end.

on your end you send invoice, the person pays, you get their shipping info. you ship it.. one thing is that its not like paypal where you withdraw money whenever you want, these guys pay you every 2 weeks.

i made a huge mistake when i set up my merchant account. my real name will be displayed for customers to see. i just got a tax i.d. number and i am in the process of changing my DBA on my merchant account. so hopefully no previous customers will be buying from me until i can get that changed.

How do you correct this? I just registered with ccnow.com with my real name, so the customers will see the name does not match with my ebay info?

As for selling, how do I do this through eBay. Do I need to change my type of account ? The account that will be used has never been used on ebay, its fresh, so where will I need to indicate I am using a merchant acct to accept payments.

What do the customers see if your personal info when they pay you with CCNOW? I imagine paypal also sees that stuff, too.

i don't have ccnow, so i am not really sure.
