I have heard someone mention Google Checkout and using 'Ebay Stealth' to get Google Checkout accounts, is it relevant to selling on ebay in the UK?

I have a few google checkout accounts, you can't link them to ebay but you can still send people invoices and they can pay with there bank cards or you can add a google checkout shopping cart to your website if you have one

Have you had any success with this method of accepting payment stufer123? Years ago, in the good old days, I used to accept payment from people using just simple bank transfers, or even by them making a cash deposit at their local branch of my bank, this worked great, it was quick, easy and fee-free, but since ebay made paypal compulsory pretty much all buyers insist on paying with paypal, which is alright for them as it costs nothing, but we get charged fees just for getting paid!

I don't sell my items through ebay i sell all mine from my website, google checkout are a lot less fussy then paypal, IMO, you still have to pay a fee which ranges from 1.5% to 2.9% depending on your monthly sales, i think GC is starting to get more widely used now, especially now people are realising how bad PP can be.

What ever stealth paypal you set up you can also set up a stealth GC using the same details.

Is it possible to get Google Checkout used on Ebay?

I've once before bought something from Ebay US where I went though a completely seperate card payment system.

Is it just about setting up something like Auctiva that sends out invoices for you automatically and hope they use that instead of the Ebay checkout?

GC is not allowed on ebay in terms of integration.

you can always bill customer if they do not have or want to use paypal.

You get very few people who want anything other than paypal but I have billed people before with it when they said they did not have a paypal acc and wanted alternative.

Basically if you tick credit card as well as paypal on the payment options, some people may contact you to use it, but not many at all.

Billing people regardless of how they want to pay is pretty useless, 99% of the time they will not take you up on it and be suspicious, they know about paypal protection probably
