I'm in Canada - tried to use a gift card to register Google Checkout wouldn't let me

Why can't I register with googlecheckout using a prepaid CC?
I just got a prepaid CC that I used to open up a seller ebay account successfully, but google checkout did not accept it, was wondering why? I live in Canada.

Maybe that's the reason. I've never had any problems before.

i used all kinda giftcards on google and it worked fine

the card u use are bought in canada or usa? and also did u register a address to the card?
