Default Google checkout horror story, what to do? - always give Google legitimate information

I made a few sales on eBay and used google checkout to get paid. Although good idea at the beginning, it now back fired. Google wants all the information now, and I used ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information to sign up. In other words I won't be able to provide that information:

copy of credit card used (I used VCC)
copy of driver license number
proof of address used (I used ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address)
invoice for some items I sold, including supplied information (and I sold VeRO)

This is bad. Balance is $49 roughly, and I spend about $10 on shipping, and another $5 on materials.

To top that, they some how found out I'm selling porn, and asked me not to do it again or else.

What do I do now?

Do I cancel all payments, explain to the buyers that google checkout won't accept payments for porn, and instead send them money request via PayPal?

Do I let this go and loose these money?

Tell me what can I do?

This is a learning lesson, DO NOT USED GOOGLE CHECKOUT. I was ready to kiss them just a few days before, because everything seemed to be going perfectly, but now it backfired. It's horrible.

Right, giving ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information to Google is pointless; they're not sharing information with eBay.

If it were me I'd try to update my Google details with real information and send the docs they want. I'm not sure if this is possible, but try it.

You're going to have to find another payment processor if Checkout isn't allowing you to sell your items.

Yeah never give ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info for a merchant account, theres no need to

As far as your items you should check out other sellers in that category and see what they are using..

Actually, I remembered now. I opened that account with my real information. But I used the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info for business name. So they want something to confirm each (EACH) address.

We'll see what happens.

Ever since I got suspended off eBay I learned to take negative things as positive learning experiences.

Why would you lie to Google????

lol . . . damn too much aspkin has your mind on stealth mode

as long as your not straight up robbing people Google won't limit your account like paypal does - the wont share your info with ebay - they wont even charge you a processing fee if you using google ad words!!!

A suggestion too anybody who is serious about selling online - dont mess up your Google account they are the future - they will eventually replace pay pal as the preferred payment option online !!!

eBanza.com NO LISTING FEE!!! NO EVIL!!!

Because they give it away free in Google Images and Google Videos.

They don't want the competition. <snarfles>

When i use to use GC i wouldnt ship no items till i was sure the money was out of google and in my bank! That away if i was hit with the above i would simply refund the buyer and open another GCO and start over again.

If you sale VeRO items legit or not u will have problems with GCO they shoot first and ask ?'s later.

I think I've been canned 3 times by them without so much as one completed payment to my bank. The last reason I was suspended was because I didn't put in my website url. They sent me an email notifying me of this. I logged in the next day to do it and by then I was already suspended. They are definately worse than paypal, but in different ways. With paypal there's a chance to make money even though there's always the looming chance that they'll steal from you. With googlecheckout there's barely even a chance to stay a member. I don't understand why they don't allow the sale of porn. It's not like it's illegal.

A website is not required info if you don't have one, which I didn't. When I finally got one I neglected to give it to them. That's still no excuse to delete my account without giving me 24 hours to respond to this simple request.

I am actually thinking of using Google, to try and get away from Paypal a little, I actually opened an account, all legit info, no Website attached though, I wanted to Redirect as many Paypal Payments as possible to google, the way I have it planned is that a small group of people spread out around the country would be sending regular payments of various amounts ($50.00 - $500.00) for services that I render for them. There would be No Invoices Per say, No tracking Number or anything associated with a Tangible product. It would be like I am a Lawyer charging for advice. Simple Payments Just sent to me. Judging from reading some of the stuff here it sounds like I need to Rethink my Plan.

I am quite surprised to read this, I have had a GCO account for over 12 months now, granted there is not a lot of money flowing through itm maybe 3 or 4 transactions per month, it is linked to my web design and hosting website, never had a minutes problem with them.

In fact my very first payment I had through them was for an item I sold on Ebay to an international buyer based in the netherlands he paid me no problems money transferred straight to my bank account, same with every transaction ever since.

I do have quite a good "history" though with Google, I have an adwords account, actively use webmaster tools etc etc all linked to the same email address and website, never had to "prove" anything to them............

Might be beneficial to use their "other" services using the same email address as well who knows this is my experience with them anyhow.......

As said though my payments all revolve around web design and hosting now no tangable goods at all really apart from the odd 1 or 2.

Thought I'd add this is not a stealth account and would have no problems passing any of google's verification procedures maybe that is the difference? As well as the low amount that passes through it..........

Hope I have not tempted fate lol
