Merchant account advise
 

How can i possibly get a merchant account approved to my account approved to my ebay account cause my name is bad on ebay so i was wondering can i white my name out or something and put leave my dba name on there !?

New stealth account with your dba name is one good step.

In order to get a merchant account in Australia, do we have to pass the personal credit check and if so.... what providers don't do the checks? Thanks for any info :)

Not being from AU, maybe I shouldn't be trying to answer this, but I cannot see - from a business perspective - why anyone would give you a merchant account without checking your credit.

Having said that, people with bad credit can get approvied, it happens all the time. A friend of mine was approved, and he has TERRIBLE credit, including a bankruptcy, foreclosure, several collection accounts and charge-offs up the ying-yang. And, usually it does not cost too much more. The main things are, they will want a limit on your monthly sales volume (usually $5,000 or so) and mgiht also want a rolling reserve of 10%. At least, that is how it is here in the US.

first you need a merchant account, also authorize.net. ebay does not ask for any information. All you need to do is go into myebay in payment preferences and change it took take credit cards. You will need your API and Login key which you get from authorize.net and run a text charge to a registered gift card and thats it. What I do recommend is to make a new stealth account buy some items, sell slow on it and just use a paypal account at first it does not have to be set up with a real bank just sell to buy, after 90 days your limits will be up and its safe to add a merchant account to it.
