CCNOW--UPDATE--Pros/Cons- 07/2008 - CCNOW is FROWNED Upon on EBAY
 

HI Folks:
Ive recd quite alot of pms in the last 2 weeks about ccnow.. SO--I thought I'd give you an update..

1.) Ebay has PROHIBITED the USE of ccnow- just like they did with the other outfit that ACCEPTED PAYPAL--last year.

WHY?

>> Obvious: They do not want you to be able to BY_PASS Paypal's system, and they would NOT be able to Control You/ Track You--Suspend your Ebay acct if your Paypal gets Limited..

>> ALSO: CCNOW "Takes ALL the PAYPAL Hits"...not me/you.

2.) So--What do we do now?

3.) I STILL USE CCNOW AS USUAL--
4.) I fax them a DIFFERENT Merchant acct info--then I use the ccnow-

WHY?

A REGULAR MErchant acct--is good for Visa/Mastercard/Amex--But NOT PAYPAL..

>> Ebay has Customers "Brainwashed" into taking Paypal ONLY!

(should you Choose to accept this Mission.. :)

a.) Set your account as normal
b.) Get some type of low end merchant acct-- I have one through BB+T Bank that charges a $15/mo. Dormant/Main Fee--I have heard there are cheaper ones?
c.) So- Get ANY Merch acct (IDEALLY--you have your own website + You're Cranking out Sales over there--and you Really Use that new Merch acct)
d.) So-Youve got an Approval on "A Merchant acct" from somewhere
e.) NOW- go to Ebay and List your item--Choose Merch acct--They will allow
(or at least did as of 3 weeks ago)-- they will allow you to list 10 items, on the 11th--they Require Paypal--UNTIL they get a FAXED in Merchant Acct Statement.

f.) SO-- You ALSO have your OWN Paypal acct-- (BUT YOURE NOT GONNA USE IT)-- WHY?
>> You dont want your money tied up--in a False Limitation in the Middle of December...
g.) So- Fax your merchant acct Approval letter/ or header sheet--or Something that has your acct Approval on it..
>> NOTE: I NORMALLY Black out my name/and part of my merchant number/tax id number...
>> EBAY has ole Wally approving the merch accts---"HE WILL CALL YOU"--so give a VALID Ring Central or Payphone Number.. :)

h.) NOW-- After APPROVED-- go ahead and list-- now--in ccnow- just send the invoices at end of auction to your customers!
>> There is also AUTOMATED software to automate the shopping cart/email process.. I do not use myself--but i can send an invoice to a buyer in under 1 minute now..

>> REMEMBER--the VERY FIRST PAYOUT--takes--approx. 45 days!--SO__ GET THAT CCNOW ACCOUNT OPENED TODAY!!!!
--THEN--USE a GIFT CARD--and a DIFFERENT IP ADDRESS--
>> RUN YOUR FIRST SALE THROUGH CCNOW TOMORROW-- to start the timeclock!
>. YES--its almost 5%--But NO HASSLE!!

>. AND--ccnow doesnt like customer complaints-- (like Paypal sits and waits for!)-- So-- take care of your customers and its a BREEZE to get the funds in your Bank account!

$6 Grande? Of Course! My Stress level was 0... :)

By the Way-- CCNOW is a "DIGITAL RIVER COMPANY"--one of the Largest Digital Software Companies.. They develop/own products assoc with Symantec etc..

I don't see ccnow on the banned payment list. Why do you say it is prohibited? I have been saying for a while that ccnow will not qualify as a merchant account as Wally told me a few months ago but I can't see how it is not allowed at all. Are you sure that ccnow will get you booted if mentioned?

i've spoken to ccnow who have said they are waiting for authorization from ebay to allow BIN buttons on auctions. so.....

Ccnow is FROWNED upon by Ebay--Really-they do not like ANY competition to their exclusive "PAYPAL"

more like it, they have gone forward thoughto apply for the integration thing. So they can be added to their own shopping cart hehee, no chance me thinks.

Last YEar-some folks were using another service that "TOOK PAYPAL" for you-I never used it--and i cant remember the name of the service--Im sure Aspkin remembers...

I just signed up for a merchant account through ccnow. How do I access my account statement so that I can fax that over to eBay and also how do I contact eBay to let them know I need verification of my merchant account so I can begin accepting payments with it.

If you have a merchant account set up on eBay, what happens if buyers use the ebay checkout? Or will that be inactive? As in buyers will have to go through your proposed checkout method?

Okay, so the CCnow is setup, do I have to get cart manager for the checkout too?

Im thinking of setting up a CCNOW account and use it to accept credit card payments to get cash out of my paypal. So in order to do this i have to set up auctions and win them my self then use the item number to pay my self useing a Vcc from Pp. Do u think it would be a problem if i pay my self and i always have the same billing info? like for EXE i sale stuff to the same buyer and always get paid by that same buyer wonder if that would through up CCNOW flags?

you will need to do it from a different ip addy when you make the purchase..you can never take payments on the same ip addy that you use to log into ccnow. of course the ship / bill address needs to be different than the ccnow registered address.

Well i do sell VERO and i was banned from ccnow as a result this morning.. Will they release my funds??
