Default Starting A New Ebay Account, Howabout ProPay From The Go ?

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I ended up here with the same story that most here have. Been a flawless eBay seller since 2001 with over 2,600 100% positive feedback's and I get the axe because they linked my account to an account in bad standing. I just had that one account.
I bought the eBay Stealth eBook and it's great because it confirms what I thought I would have to do to be fact.

Here's my question,

Establishing the new eBay account is no problem for me but I was never planing on opening a new PayPal account. I was planing on linking a new ProPay account due to ProPay being accepted by eBay.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, my buyers can pay via ProPay without joining ProPay and will just be invoiced from eBay when they win one of my auctions and the source of payment will show they need to provide their credit or debit card number to ProPay to charge their card right?

It seems to me that 70% of the eBay Stealth eBook is regarding setting up a new PayPal account with a new clean identity.

Do I really need PayPal again versus using ProPay ?

Maybe I'm wrong about using ProPay not requiring the buyer to become a ProPay member in order to pay?

Because I myself have never actually used ProPay yet I have no idea what the billing process will look like on the buyers end.

Because eBay does not own ProPay my thought was that eBay cannot get the personal information from ProPay such as the SS# on the account. Since eBay owns PayPal, eBay can see everything.

eBay alone does not require a SS# to open an account so the challenge for me is just finding a way to receive payment on eBay sales without eBay having to know who the ProPay account owner is.

Any help on this subject is really appreciated. TIA

I think ProPay doesn't require buyer to open an account if they are paying with credit card. But probably will require one if they are funding with other sources. And more than one of my international buyer told me the account is not free. I am not sure if they got it mess up with ProPay's eauction account.

If all your customers are US based, ProPay "may" work for you. But my sale got hit by 80% when I removed PayPal. A lot of my international buyers (3 out of 5) are having problem with ProPay. The transaction page would stuck with time glass icon and never go through, hence showing pending. eBay still collects your fee until you file your FVF credit. I had buyers trying purchase one item for 7 times (FVF*7 lol)

US buyer aren't affected by this glitch. BTW, you listings won't appear in some countries if you don't accept PP.

To make the situation worst, it is a PITA trying to locate an eBay transaction in your ProPay account. You have to manually search all the field and hope find some similarity.

Another problem is that they charge a "chargeback" review fee $20? even if the case is later found not your fault *I think.

The end of the story is that eBay worked really hard to make sure no other payment processor is able to compete with PP when it comes to eBay payment. "Windows & Internet Explore monopoly anyone?" So unless you are selling some one of the kind items, it is impossible to sell on eBay without PP.

It's going to be very difficult to get people to pay with any other service provider but you can try.

I found skrill and Propay require a SS and are tougher to get then PP.

This is correct.

Both of these companies deal with a very wide range of customers.

They do have strict policies.

So for the sake of this post, it seems as if PP would be king over ProPay or Skrill. it would be EXTREMELY nice if there was a competitive site other than PP that was similar and worked well with eBay.
