Thumbs up Moneybookers? No SSN required! - Is it legitimate?

First of all I want to say hello to everybody.Second ..does anyone use MB ?..are there waiting periods for your money? I read the forum and the alternative for paypal but I can't have access to only a few because my country(Romania) isn't listed in there sign up form.I've joined Ccnow but from what i see you have to wait for the money. What alternative are there to consider?
Thanks

I usually just wait until things clear if they do at all before I do anything. Chargeback's are almost a given with my business.

I heart Moneybookers. I wish it was more popular i especially like to use it when i pay for imports from other countries because of the escrow. I have been using it for maybe 3 years now and I have never had a problem. Therefore i cannot say what happens when a transaction goes wrong since all my transactions with MB have been successful.

Yeah, I had a Moneybookers account..It's horrible...It takes to long for funds to clear and takes to long to upload funds.... There verification process is more complicated than US Border Control and worse than PayPal. You have to send them documents, fax them things, MB is very complicated so I closed my account. Unfortunately some Romanian scam artists have given Romania a very bad name for all the honest people living over there....

I had a MoneyBookers account for about 20 minutes. Apparently they didn't like me and closed my account as I was testing a few sales through them. I still haven't received my refund from them. :(

I was looking at them but I googled Moneybookers with the word sucks and some people claimed that moneybookers does not protect you from chargebacks at all and once you get one even for $7, your account is closed and you have to mail them your password and call them international long distance and it is very expensive.

ooo i guess i must be fortunate then. The only thing they asked me for was a bank statement because i was having problems manually adding it to my account and drivers license to increase my sending limit which is about 40,000.

Thumbs up Moneybookers? No SSN required! - Is it legitimate?

Somebody may have mentioned this one here before (if so, sorry for the repeat), but I've just discovered them and they are awesome! Already got an account set up.

Neat-o features: No SSN needed, you can upload funds into the account with a credit card, not just your bank account (can't do that with PlayFoul!), no chargebacks (when you get paid, the money stays there! They absorb the cost!), send & receive payments to over 30 countries, send faxes & SMS's, send and receive payments through your mobile phone....etc, etc. It's just freaking awesome!!!

Check them out!

And the internet is also awash with people who have been mistreated by Paypal.

There's a Paypalsucks.com but no Moneybookerssucks.com... hmmmm.

It is also my opinion that Paypal employees frequent such forums with the specific intent of trashing the competition.

In the interests of fair play, how about you use this service. Then come back in say 6 weeks and inform us of your opinion then. I read the information about Moneybookers. What I read I do not like. I might listen to someone who has had business dealings with them provided their information is feasible .

NB...might listen and I love paypal

In my experience they have been great, except for

(1) New buyers can only pay up to about $60 in the first 90 days without using an expensive wire transfer to fund their account. So this really limits things. Plus buyers find it annoying, difficult, and time-consuming to sign up.
(2) They only let you use up to 5 email addresses and you can disable them but never remove them so eventually the account is full of dead email addresses and they say it's against the rules to have more than one account.
(3) Sometimes buyers are able to pay with an escrow. Their escrow system is insecure in that the buyer can get the item, then be happy with it, then cancel the escrow and get the item free. So far I've been able to at least convince buyers release the funds before I ship.

Also, put into google: moneybookers sucks

There's forum posts saying that they don't actually enforce their immune to chargebacks policy at all. You get a chargeback for a $7 item and they ban you and take all your money and require you to mail a passport from the USA to the UK and make lots of overseas toll phone calls to try to get it back.

I have not had that experience, but I have not used too much.

I'm personally using the MB.So far so good for me,they only charge $2.5 for each withdrawal from the account to my bank account.for paypal, they charge $35.But it's useless talking about this here.Even if you use MB.the ebayers wouldn't like to pay via it.Most of ebayers are using paypal.
