Please give advise on Merchant account & business bank account

I am going to open a retail store in town in addition to selling on Ebay. I will need to open a retail merchant account for credit card processing and a business bank account for check deposit .

Can anyone recommend a merchant account provider on internet that offers a reliable RETAIL merchant account with great rates? Is that true that a merchant account provider on Internet offers a better rate than a bank?

Which national bank should I open a business account with that provides low rates for business check deposits?

I am only small time and I use nochek sometimes - for me its fast and easy to use - maybe check their site for prices etc. - its an ok site to navigate and read around on and it wont annoy you like some sites with their information overload!
