do customers trust stripe?
 

Ii would like to offer stripe to my customers, so I'd be emailing them invoices to pay for their product. It would be nothing to do with eBay.

But my worry is if customers actually trust stripe? Will they actually pay? Or is PayPal so huge its makes people feel anything else is in trustworthy.

Most buyers aren't willing to sign up for a whole new and unheard financial service just to pay for one merchant, I can guarentee you that.

You do not need to sign up for Stripe to pay someone.

I have been selling off EB for years and I lose customers all the time because they think you have to have a PP account to pay someone with PP and even when you checkout with PP, they still encourage a customer to sign up.

Most marketplaces using Stripe have it integrated seamlessly so that it is a much easier and more natural feeling checkout process. Facebook has started working with Stripe this year. So, people will soon learn the name regardless.

Guest checkout options with stripe and other popular merchants make it pretty simple. I personally have no problems with my customers following through with it.

Buyers do not know stripe ( or very rarely).


Entice them may be an option ;)

A nice e-mail communication with the customer can get them to pay - you would need to have Stripe enabled on the invoice or website.

i use stripe on ioffer havent had any problems getting people to pay

and i have paypal as a back up

stripe fallows the same 20,0000 200k stuff

Stripe is a very robust payment processing product. It is a great tool for small businesses to large businesses. The fee price point is right in line with PayPal. Reporting by customer/day/month is very intuitive. I like being able to drill down to all sorts of variations of reporting.

In the USA stripe is known and you get a 70 payment response on eBay you create an invoice email it to them with the link to the stripe portal and they pay.
