Paypal Account Limited Linked to Negative Balance

Hi,

I have a question and apologies if this has already been covered. Years ago I had a Paypal/eBay account where I was limited for various reasons. I accepted that I will never be able use PP account with my real details.

Since then I have always tried to open stealth accounts but somehow they have always managed to find a link.

Recently a family member has created a PP account using his real details so that is NOT a stealth account. However PP have managed to link this real account to a stealth account which will then down the spidergram link to to the original limited PayPal account which has a negative balance

The question I have is can PP hold the balance in my family members account to pay off this negative balance? Or do I just wait for the six months down the line to make the withdraw as I have read on the forums?

Your going to need to wait 6 months before you can withdraw any funds from the PayPal

Hi, I'm rather confused how this limitation works in regarding withdrawing funds after six months. On the limitation email it told I was linked to an account with unresolved issues (stealth account). When I phoned them up they said I needed to resolve the issues with the linked account otherwise the funds will not be released.

Right now the account is limited but I can still selll through eBay and accept payments. I have continued to do this since the account was limited 3 weeks ago.

Unfortunately I cannot resolve the issues on the stealth account. Reading on the forums I read somewhere that the funds will be held indefinitely if you do not do something? What happens if I do nothing? Do I get my funds after six months? If I do need to do something what do I do? Thanks.

Here is there original limitation email.

We need your help resolving an issue with your account. To give us time to
work together on this, we've temporarily limited what you can do with your
account until the issue is resolved.

We understand it may be frustrating not to have full access to your PayPal

quickly as possible.

We've had to place a limit on your PayPal account because it shares at
least one piece of information with a PayPal account that has unresolved
issues. To remove the limitation, you need to resolve the issues on this
account.

It's usually quite straightforward to take care of these things. Most of

The REAL account (family members) account is linked to Account 1 STEALTH. This is linked to Account 2 STEALTH.
This is linked to Account 3 STEALTH.
This is linked to Account 4 STEALTH.
There maybe some more linked but
This is then linked to Account with unresolved issues which has a Negative Balance.

So as you can see there is a spidergram of linked accounts.

The account with Negative Balance is NOT relevant to the discussion.

My original query is what procedures to follow in order to get the process going for the funds to be released to a REAL legitimate account.

As stated I cannot resolve the issues of the STEALTH Account because it is not in my details and cannot provide them with requested documentation simply because I do not have any.
Do I:
A - Do nothing, and wait for 180 days?
B - Do something. If so what are the next steps?

I forgot to add that the customer service representative said they had no problem with identity, but the linked account needs to be resolved or they will not release the funds.

If PayPal are saying there is a link to an account in arrears you need to prove to them you have no involvement

No, they have not stated there is a linked account with arrears. They have told me that the REAL account is linked to the STEALTH ACCOUNT.

In that STEALTH ACCOUNT they have asked upload documents to prove who I am which is linked to STEALTH ACCOUNT 2, also not in arrears and so on.

I have explained this spidergram in a little more depth for your understanding but Paypal have NOT explained the link in this way. They have simply linked this to ACCOUNT 1 and that's it, and ACC 1 have asked me to upload docs to prove identity which I am unable to do so.

So there is no requirement for me (or family member) to dispute the arrears account.

The simplest way of putting this is I have REAL IDENTITY ACCOUNT that is linked to a STEALTH ACCOUNT with unresolved issues. Those unresolved issues is that I have not uploaded STEALTH documents and that account is linked to another etc.

I have told PP that we have no knowledge of the STEALTH ACCOUNT on the phone. They have stated unless the issues are resolved (no further info can be given) then I cannot withdraw the balance. Where do I go on from here to process the remaining balance for the six month wait period? What do I need to do?

Do Nothing?

Or do what?

You should also figure out where the link is so this kind of issue can be avoided in the future. Is there any information the accounts share like address or name?

That isn't relevant to my query. As previously stated, my query is just the process in getting the money smoothly after six months but after doing some digging around it appears we will eventually get our funds, stealth or not.

I have this happening now. My real account was negative from a scam buyer. Paypal limited that account and I can't get into it. I opened another account and have been using that one. They linked the second one and are telling me that I can't take any money out of the newer account until the negative balance on the first account is corrected. I can't get into the original account. I have no information except they gave me a phone number where I can call and make payments to cover the negative balance. I don't even know how much it is. What happens now? Will they link all my paypal accounts?

Even if you paid off you negative balance there is no guarantee that they will reinstate your account anyway.

It's one of those sh itty dilemmas, pay off the negative or accept you have to hide and go stealth at the time you were in negative.

Many posts have been written about the use of new pp with an old eb (which has lost its original pp account I assume?). Also - not good when registration info doesnt match up

I have called 5 times so far and been told the same thing.
You can use a paypal account that does not match the
info on the ebay account as long as the items are shipped
from the address on the ebay account.

That's a timeframe that is difficult to state exactly.
