Receiving payment on a limited PayPal account

Hi, I have a 100% SSN verified PP account that's permanently banned and I'm just waiting for the 180day holding period to be over. However, someone sent me a payment and it's still showing up in my PayPal balance. So my question is, can I still receive payments in the meantime and will I be able to withdraw all funds after the holding period is over?

Each time you get a payment it pushes the 180 day period back. You are able to withdraw all the funds 180 days after the last payment into the account (at least that is how its meant to work)

Yikes! That's kinda harsh.

You idea is very stupid. Why would you want your money to be held for 180days? You are wasting time and the potential of reinvesting that money back into your business.

Maybe you should first ask questions before calling people names on a faceless forum. Someone sent me a payment recently for a subscription without first consulting with me as this is something he's always done. I didn't inform him earlier about the limitation and I just assumed they will prevent all incoming payments as this is my first time being limited. If you have nothing positive to contribute, keep your rude comments to yourself and stop embarrassing yourself online.

I have the same issue recently. Received the 180 limitation notice but still can receive money. So it's not only me.

Are you sure? You assumed it or it happened on you before?

I try to never assume things :) I tend to only post my past experience.

In the UK that is how it works. It may well be a bit different in the USA but that would be surprising

Hi James,

Do this 180 days limit apply to all the money on your account or only to the new amount that you have received?

For example:

I got my account limited on 1st January with 1.000USD on it.
Someone send me 150USD on 1st February (once the account is already limited). What option is the correct?

Option1: I have to wait to withdraw 1.150USD till 1st February + 180 days
Option2: I have to wait to withdraw 1.000USD till 1st January + 180 days and wait till 1st February + 180 days

Thank you!!

IF your last payment was feburary 1st, it will be at least October 1st.

It is 180 days from the LAST PAYMENT received.
