Negative Balance. But no Personal Info.
 

So I have a negative balance -95$ because a scammer charged after I sold virtual currency that he received. I have proof of the transaction and Paypal still sided with the Scammer.

Now I have a balance of -95 USD. I have no account with personal informatino linked to my paypal. No Bank account or credit card number. I always use a good vpn which is recommended.

What is your best advice?

I would recommend adding a VCC with a credit of at least $95 to cover the negative balance. Or you can quickly sell an item to cover it.

The account should still be in good standing, as its just one chargeback (any paypal usually sides with the buyer anyways). Nothing to worry about :)

Best thing to do is pay the $95

This is always the risk with selling virtual currencies, its why the carry a premium when being sold in exchange for PayPal

If you want to keep the account then pay the balance, if you feel like you want to start a new account then I suppose that's your choice :)

Pay the balance and move on, consider the cost and effort of adding a new vcc, phone, bank etc

Also consider the time and effort involved in making a new ebay account to add the new paypal too.

But why pay for something I am not responsible for?

Also this account is stealth, I didn't sell much. 500$ Limit..Also no personal info is in that account.

I am thinking about dumping the account and buy a new one.

Because you agreed to the T&C when you signed up with PayPal.

Stop asking what we think when we tell you the best advice and you want your own way.

In the long term, actions like this affect others when PayPal tightens its methods.

Pay the balance.

You may not be responsible for the negative balance but it is still your responsibility as it is unfortunatley part of doing business. I have had returns sent to me with bricks and mortar and electrical sockets with dirty wires hanging out of it to make up the weight of the package, do you know what i done? I laughed and threw it in the bin and told all my mates.

This happens, do not waste a good paypal over $95

Then its better you can resolved the negative balance by adding fund through card or bank

If you account is not limited and in negative balance
so just resolve the negative balance else the paypal will limit the account
this happen to me last year and i lost my aged paypal account

Hey Speeder33, saw this response and had a further question. Thanks for the info, but was wondering is VCC same as a prepaid debit card like Vanilla Visa? I have a neg balance on a stealth PP acct due to a return case being opened right after I withdrew all $. I want to pay it off to keep PP account good, but items on this EB acct are so slow moving, not sure how to get funds into the PP acct without compromising my stealth. Where do I get a VCC with $200 balance on it? Looks like the VCCs sold here are without balance so I'm confused. Thanks again.
