| | PayPal limited, Help for future Accounts Please Hello, I recently had one of my stealth PayPal accounts limited.
I'm guessing it was from trying to withdraw too large of sums too fast. I took out about $450 one day and $300 two/three days later. Would this cause my account to become limited? If so, how should I go about taking out my funds in future accounts?
Does the longevity play a factor in it? Will I gradually be able to withdraw larger sums, faster as time goes by?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you |

If the account is years old then $450 and $300 should not cause an issue
If its only a few weeks or months old then yes that is likely what caused the limitation
I try to avoid withdrawing more than once per week on an account under 4 months old and then never more than 60% of the balance. |

Gradually you can withdraw larger amounts. Once you have built a strong history.
I like to make my first withdrawal small ($30 or under)
If they see a new account receiving large amounts of money, then withdrawing it all. They tend to get a bit twitchy. |
Re: PayPal limited, Help for future Accounts Please Thank you both very much for the help!
The account is only 1 month old, I was just trying to withdraw my funds ASAP so if the account gets limited I wouldn't have much In the account, but it seems that my thinking back fired on me and cause me to get limited!
James, when you say never more than 60% of the balance... Is that available balance or pending as well? So in other words 60% of available or 60% of Available & Pending combined ? |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-23-2017 06:45 AM | Re: PayPal limited, Help for future Accounts Please Available balance
I don't count pending balance towards anything until its no longer pending |
Re: PayPal limited, Help for future Accounts Please Okay thank you, is there a threshold that you don't exceed when withdrawing? Even if it's not over the 60%? For instance, you have $2600 balance, would you still withdrawn $1300 at one time? Or do you have a dollar amount not to exceed? |
| just_smile | 01-23-2017 06:54 AM | Re: PayPal limited, Help for future Accounts Please There's no need to let your balance get that high.
I never leave any amount in paypal I can't afford to lose.
There's so many variables at play, it's not a one cap fits all
A well established account can withdraw $1300 with no issues. A new account can't. |

Re: PayPal limited, Help for future Accounts Please Just smile, with my account still having the pending payments... It's hard to avoid it sometimes. I know I need to spread payments out with different accounts, but sometimes the eBay limits play a factory |
| rookprop | 01-23-2017 09:08 PM | Re: PayPal limited, Help for future Accounts Please Ive found that being limited on Paypal other than large sums is due to items sold on Ebay and the tracking numbers.
Theory is paypal likes to see tracking have the same send off. In other words, paypal knows when packages are being drop shipped from various locations.
That is when you get the SOFT LIMITED email where they want your invoices and tracking. |
Re: PayPal limited, Help for future Accounts Please Thank you, but all my items are shipped from my sale local post office, no drop shipping for me.
Thanks again |
