Please help
 

Basically I have a large sum of money in my account and I'm currently limited.
I'm limited because I share information - a strong link with a permenantly limited ghost account I once had an forgot about.
I called paypal and took advise from someone on here and denied any knowledge of the account. Paypal then said its a strong link so I'll need to contact the police and say there's been identity theft or something in order of get my account unlimited as both accounts share the same bank account (which I forgot about)..
So obviously I don't want to go to the police and I've mucked up.
I don't know what's best for me to do now? Will I ever be able to get my money if i don't go to the police? I'm happy to wait 180 for the money but will this even happen? At the moment my account just says its limited and I need to resolve issues with my shared account, no mention of 180 days.
I just don't know what to do, what's the best step for me now? Is the money gone? Or will i be able to wait 180 days or what? Many thanks.

You can get your money 180 days starting from the day you got limited....also you can call back and just politely ask what exact date will you be able to get the money out, most cases they will tell you. At this point there is nothing you can do.

Thankyou. Yeah I see there's nothing i can do, I mucked up. But as long as I'll get my money back im happy. So I'll definitley be able to get the money back? When I call how would I go about asking for when I'll be able to get my money it just seems a bit strange, my account isn't permenantly limited yet. Many thanks.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to get your money back at some point. Just call PayPal (be very friendly) and just say, "Hello, I know my account is currently limited but I wanted to ask if you can provide me the date of when I will be able to withdraw the funds from the account" or something similar.

I had a PayPal limited back in OCT and I just called and they gave me an exact date of withdrawal, I'm not 100% knowledgeable on UK PayPal but I can only assume the rules are about the same.

Thanks, I just called. They didn't give me an answer unfortunatley. They said that they will send an email if/when that option becomes available. My account still isn't permenantly limited. Would you know when the account does become permenantly limited if I was just to leave it for now? Thanks
