PayPal got banned for receiving too many personal payments
 

I found this forum and hope you guys will shed me some light.

This is my legit PP account and I was selling virtual gold through some company and they were sending out personal payments for those, my PayPal got limited and I called up PayPal asking why, and they told me it was because I received too many personal payments in a short span of time.
I submitted my info such as ID, proof of address and so on but a few hours later I got an e-mail saying my appeal was denied and that I have to wait 180 days to receive my funds back which is just not ****ing possible.
So basically, I got permanently limited because someone sent me too many personal payments.
Has anyone ever got in this situation and how did you get out of it?

Hardly you'll get out. Once the account is permanently limited it's good as gone.

were they sent to you as paypal gifts, Paypal certainly wont like that as no fees for them.

Specify please how many person payments is too many 10 in day or 4 in month?

One of the main reasons paypals get limited is because of personal payments, even just two concurrent payments raises red flags.

Pretty much echoing what others have said, avoid gift payments at all costs.

I dont even take genuine personal payments as gift, I ask friends/family to send it as goods/services. Since adopting this approach I've yet to lose a PayPal account for several years now. This is just one of the biggest red flags in PayPal's book I would presume.

I don't buy it - I have a Paypal account that I get 2000-3000 a month in gift payments of $150-to-$250.00 each from regular customers that I deal with nada zero peep from pp about it and I have been doing for a long time. I do the same with my regular suppliers

Believe me, this can hurt if PayPal will need to check your account. They do not like gifts because they loose money. I got locked 3 times because of gifts. Now i only send gifts and never receive. Because PayPal warning me last time for receive gifts as payments.

Lowest they can give is the 1-2 warning. The middle is blocking receiving any gifts. Top - just block an account. Also, they can take all fee you not paid. (they tell me this in email)

And no, sending as gift too much is not good.
