Ebay Messed Up / Does PayPal UK call suppliers?
Apologies if this has been asked before but I cannot seem to find a yes or no answer to this.
Ebay locked my account as they thought someone had hacked it. They then sent out emails to all of my customers to say the purchases they had made were fraudulent. This resulted in 34 dispute cases being brought against me in less than 24 hours which resulted in a paypal limitation. Ebay has finally restored my account back in good order but now my paypal account is the issue (WHAT A WEEK)
Ebay have apologised for this and theres currently 3 departments working on this to correct it, they are even trying to get in touch with paypal to let them know it was their fault.
I have been selling on ebay (on this account) since 2001 and the paypal account since 2002. I have never had any issues but now I have had to supply PayPal with a business model including supplier invoices.
I am wondering if they actually do call suppliers and if so, what information would/could suppliers give out in the UK? I have not submitted the supplier information yet as I am still gathering the documents but I have submitted everything else, including screenshots from ebays customer support team which details the actions taken against me which explains it was totally their fault. I am hoping with the account history and all of this information that they will unlimit me, but im not holding my breath. |
