Can PayPal hold funds forever on a limited account?
 
Hello everyone,
I'm wondering if PayPal can hold the funds for good on a limited PayPal account? Has this ever happened to anyone?

They can hold your funds for 180 days max.

Yes, sometimes they require documents after 180 days, and if they don't like them - they will hold your funds forever.

This can happen - still a rarity but keep that in mind OP. How much has been held OP?

photo id/driving license/goverment issued id blahbla... so called "proof of identity"
i hate paypal as i encountered a similar issue

I think you will be ok and soon after the 180days are over and you will have the money into your bank. An year ago I had about 10 linked accounts PP asked me to provide information as :
1. What is the relationship between the accounts
2. Id cards/ bills
3. Invoices ... and other things

..I've provide them all what they required but on the and they closed all of my accounts without further explanation. After 180 days I've withdrew the money from all 10 accounts. :violin:

For my US-based limited PP accounts, I have not been asked to provide any ID after the 180 days have passed - simply withdraw to the bank account on file.

Had that happening to me. I called in and asked wtf was wrong. They apologized for the mistake and I was able to withdraw the cash
