Im pretty sure it has to do with 'risky' items...looks like Pp has implemented a new scan that checks the item names and instant limit after first sale if 'risky'. I use to be able to ver0 on brand new accounts 1500$ /mo looks like those days are over. this is purely speculation tho, anyone else chime in? It looks like this JUST started happening within the last week

Yes, it is the name issue. After I changed the name, the paypal stopped limitting my account on first sale, but on about the third or fourth sales. But anyway, I can still make some sales.

Yes, you are right. It's like in the last few weeks, PP got REALLY picky with sales AND payments. Making payments on newer accounts that just recently sold an item (even low-risk) over $50 refuses to go through. Each single payment has to be under $50.

And as for sales, right after a sale is made, regardless of item category, the account is automatically limited. Calling in to have the PP account reinstated without submitting docs is a hit or miss.

Before, you was able to receive $400+ from a sale on new accounts and even spend up to about $400 out of the money from that sale, just as long as the account is at least a few days old.

I'd put my money on the crappy VPN.

I have a paypal with $104 available. The first day I withdrawed $100 by virwox, it failed. The second day $80, failed. The third day $50, failed. The fourth day, which is today, I saw the limit sign when I logged in. It is picky now. Maybe I should try $30 a day next time on the other account.

Yeah, start with low amounts then work your way up. Once the system blocks you on the first attempt of a transaction with a high amount, it red flags the account and tends to sometimes blocks subsequent transactions regardless of the amount.

Re: PayPal Limited without notice!

even low amounts are risky. 3 month old PayPal, withdrew 30$ last week, failed, tried 20$, bam, got limited.

With all these limitations, anyone recommend using a merchant account right away with a new ebay account? Not sure how to get around all these limitations anymore.

If aged account sellers aren't complaining yet it cant be that bad... They make multiple accounts a day. They must be doing something differently than the people getting limited are doing. We just need to figure out what it is.

This is a false statement that is not supported by the wise people who still operate on pp/eb...

Yes but no solid advice to help out these limitations is being passed on to the newbies who are failing...
